"This was probably my favorite hotel in the camino portugues! So comfortable and luxurious. Our room was a great size. Our bed was very comfortable, the hotel was unique and interesting. Our bathroom was spa like and I loved the tub after a long day of walking the camino. Very convenient, just off the c amino, and close to restaurants and town. We enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor sitting areas. I would love to come back!"

"The architecture of Pousada Armenteira was quite unusual; you see it on the right as you come down the camino path into Armenteira. It is a glass & concrete building with weathered wooden uprights on the facade. The interior has polished wood floors and walls; interesting exhibits of local artists. The receptionist was charming & helpful; check-in very easy. A very good breakfast is included. No bar or evening meal available, but 1 cafe open 'til 5pm & 1 bar+ restaurant, near the monastery, serves evening meal from 7-11 pm. The room & bathroom were very clean. Beds comfortable. Shower facility quite unique; suitable for disabled access; bath serves as drain-has a liftable over, which is flush with the floor--lift it & you have a sunken tub! It is more than a guest house, it has the capacity for corporate events."

"Funny, we had no idea that the Motel would end up being a bit "different" than we knew when we booked there, but we were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed our stay. Our room was good, staff were so nice to us. Very pleasant and seemed genuinely eager to make sure we enjoyed our stay. If there had been a small refrigerator in the room, it would have been better, but the room was a nice size, well kept and comfortable enough. Thanks for the nice stay."

The parking/access system was cumbersome and slow, but apart from that it was perfect."

The location was convenient, and overall the hotel offered everything I needed for a pleasant and stress-free stay. I would definitely recommend Hotel Villa de Marin to other solo travelers and would happily stay here again!"

"This place was amazing. It far exceeded our expectations. It's in Poio, out of the way as far as Pontevedre is concerned, but Manuel, the owner was amazing. The place is very clean, it has a nice breakfast, and it's one of the best maintained hotels I've ever seen. Spotless with a great view and wonderful pool, etc. The staff bends over backwards to help you out. We'll be back."
