“Staff and room were great. My only concern is the difficulty opening the door from the stairwell to the second floor. The door dragged on the carpet and was extremely hard to push/pull open. In an emergency this could be disastrous. I don’t know about the other doors, but I expect the same problem exists.”

“Unfortunately, this was one of the least enjoyable hotel stays we’ve had. The room appeared old, poorly maintained, and not very clean. The pillowcases looked worn and stained, the carpet felt dirty, and several of the bed linens were torn. The bathroom was especially disappointing. The shower had visible rust, and the water never became more than lukewarm. “Clean room and very big. The blackout curtains did not blackout very well. The beer was 9 $ and we are in Iowa not Chicago. The worst part of my two day stay was the baseball families came on Saturday and took over the hotel. The kids were running around the hotel and playing on the terrace. I had nowhere to go to quietly have a beer. You just go back to your room. Travelers beware of baseball families coming to your hotel. It was like a bad movie and the staff did nothing.”
