Overbooking problem
This hotel would be very great appreance ,but there was many problem in working process perspective. please, see my story with this hotel. I hope you don't do it again like me. I have paid this hotel 3 months ago. However, there's no booking record when it comes to get there. This hotel has 14 rooms but already accoupied by customers. so I have to look for another hotel. I asked to hotel's manager " what happened ? What's wrong ? " he said " It was overbooking problem ". he just told me " I'm very sorry but we can't give you any compensation at all due to this problem. I just have got refund for only hotel fee and some appolozied email from hotel's owner. please, make sure to reconfirm your booking before you arrive there Once you really want to stay here.

Iguana Crossing was a joy! The location is amazing; we had a view of the actual crossing from our room and enjoyed watching the iguanas on their path to/from the ocean. The staff was very helpful and the grounds were beautiful and clean. We will stay there again next time we're on the island!

The best hotel on Isabela Island. Across from a stunning beach. The pool is nice and the food is actually amazing. $1.5 ride from ferry. Don’t bother looking anywhere else. This is as close to US standard 3-4 star hotel you’ll find

Great hotel in a magical island
This hotel is beautiful. Comfortable beds and amazing sea views. Food was good from the restaurant, just make sure to make a reservation the day before you plan on going. Location was good. Very quiet but only a few minute walk to stores and restaurants. Right next door to board walk that leads to tortoise breeding center. Pool was great to have after a hot day and sun beds were fantastic for relaxing.

Hotel ligt op een prachtige plek. Kamers zijn wat verouderd maar het uitzicht is geweldig. Zwembad is heerlijk en is prachtig. Personeel was echter niet super behulpzaam en reageerde cynisch op vragen en bij het opnemen van bestellingen. Diner is aan de zeekant terwijl het vroeg donker is. Ontbijt was aan de achterkant in een relatief sfeerloze zaal waarbij het zonde is dat ze dit niet aan de voorkant doen zodat je het uitzicht hebt. Kamers waren niet helemaal schoon, veel stof en vloer was helaas vies.

Not worth the price
The view from the hotel and our room was absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, this hotel is not a high end hotel and is not worth the price. There are just as nice hotels in Puerto Villamil for a lot less money that are also on the beach. The hospitality was sub-par, the front desk treated us more like an inconvenience as opposed to guests. The front desk was not always staffed, and at times you had to look around to find someone. We alerted the management to my dietary restriction but the staff looked at me each morning at breakfast like I had two heads when I requested almond milk. The room needed a deeper clean and maintenance as it had mildew in the shower, rust and the tile grout was crumbling. There were no cushions/pads on the chaise lounges on our balcony so sitting on them was incredibly uncomfortable as they are made of wood. Overall it is a nice hotel with a beautiful view but not worth the money.

This was a fantastic place to stay! We ended up booking this hotel extremely last minute due to no air conditioning in our previously booked hotel, and I’m so glad we did! It is a gorgeous hotel and the staff were all amazing! The pool overlooking the gorgeous blue water was the perfect ending to our day!

Fantastic property with friendly staff. Great food and drinks and comfortable accommodations. The pool was a great reprieve from the heat. Would definitely stay here again!

A beautiful hotel, great location, a good breakfast and nice rooms with 2 cons: Bear in mind that double bed is not large enough for 2 adults and 2 double beds room does not fit 4 adults (although sold as such). In addition in order to have water in shower you need to push a button every 10 seconds which makes it very uncomfortable. Overall a good and beautiful hotel, but too expensive for the value you get.

Best Hotel we have stayed in since Adare Manor, the challenge of delivering an exceptional hotel experience in such a remote location must be considerable. Nothing was ever too much and the hotel is like South Beach Miami dropped into Galápagos The hotel itself is in the perfect location on the quiet beach and the start of the trials to the Turtle reserve and Wall of Tears walk where you will see giant tortoises in the wild. Above all this is a small hotel that is intimate enough to talk to other guests. This is a place where you can trust them with a key component in the trip of a lifetime, guaranteed that you will be sad to leave.

Amazing hotel!
Amazing hotel! This hotel is so cute! The staff was really nice. We had to take a covid test for our next destination and the hotel did all the arrangenments for us. The food was also very very good! We will definetly stay here next time as well!

This was an amazing hotel! Perfect location: across the street from the beach (amazing views), right at the start of the bike trail to the Wall of Tears. Nextdoor is a boatdwalk that takes you past iguanans and flamingos, right to the tortoise breeding center. The staff were wonderful. Pur driver, Family, was so kind and welcoming! The airport trabsfer is incredibly useful ... he even helped with our bags at the airport and getting us checked in. Food was great. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We cant wait ro stay here again!

This hotel really is beautiful and the staff is very nice. I gave it two stars because it fell short in a couple of ways. I understand that they have the bathroom fixtures to conserve water but there are other ways to encourage and even reuse water from showers, etc. The shower was akin to those at the beach, you push a button and get water for about 5 seconds and then it goes off. Same with the sink. I felt like I wasted more water trying to shower and wash my face using these fixtures. One other oddity was the floors were very sticky. We would shower before bed and the walk from the shower to the bed - somehow we ended up with super sticky feet in bed - very weird and gross. Probably just the cleaner they use. The restaurant is convenient but not that great and very overpriced. They provided no information on the local town, a map, things to do, local restaurants, shops, etc. I'm sure if we asked, we could get some info, but they weren't sharing openly.

The property is located right at the edge an endless, beautiful beach and the views are stunning. However, since it is the last property at the end of the strip, it gets very windy and it can be fairly loud at night, as the windows rattle. There is a hot tub on the top floor terrace, which is a greay amenity, but the water does not get very warm unfortunately. The food at the hotel restaurant is great, as are the cocktails.

Iguana Crossing is an absolute gem on Isabela. We visited for four nights during our Galapagos honeymoon and this property was by far our favorite stay! Right across from the beach with an abundance of iguanas, we slept with our balcony doors cracked and listened to the waves crash. The staff was accommodating and helped us to call taxis as needed. The breakfast was a delicious spread each morning. Our only complaint was that the water in the shower only runs for 8 seconds at a mild lukewarm temperature in an attempt to be more eco friendly. It was not a deal breaker, but we are used to longer/warmer showers.

The first night we had no hot water. After a day of diving, that's the worst! The TV did not work and view wasn't great. They did upgrade us the 2nd night which was a little better. Still no hot water. As for eco friendliness, they kept turning the temperature down to 17degrees when they cleaned our room. Why make it so insanely cold???? Lots of energy wasted.

The best part of the hotel is the location and views. There’s only WiFi down in the lobby. You have to push a button to get water for both the shower and sink. First night, there wasn’t even any hot water.

Sehr gute Lage, direkt am Strand und einer Iguana Kreuzung...es gibt sehr viel zu sehen. Ca. 5 Minuten Fussweg vom Hotel liegt eine kleine Lagune mit Flamingos. Frühstücksausfall war überschaubar, aber gut. Vom Pool aus hat man eine schöne Sicht auf den Strand. Die Zimmer sind auch sehr grosszügig geschnitten. Einzig der Service war etwas unaufmerksam, man musste aktiv nachfragen um etwas zu bekommen. Von alleine kam niemand.

Beautiful hotel and location. The staff was excellent and helpful. Food was good. Restaurant area with great atmosphere and views. The lounge beds by pool were super comfy. The wifi was slow, but we were not there for the wifi. Easy access for lovely walks on the beach. We very much enjoyed our time at Iguana Crossings and would return.

Good option, but price/quality ratio could improve
This was our second visit to Isabela - we would highly recommend it. Tours to Tuneles and Tintoreras organized through the hotel and were excellent. Friendly team at reception and behind the bar. Lovely sea view from our room, although no balcony to dry swimming gear. Located on a quiet stretch of beautiful beach and within easy walking distance to the main square. WiFi was almost non-existant in the room - although worked ok in the lobby. Breakfast adequate. Dinner on the first night ok but lighting/atmosphere could be improved - anything but bright, energy saving lamps. Price was steep for what it was but we were visiting on a long weekend holiday and the hotel was full.

First but not last stay here
This is probably the best place to stay on Isabela island. Yes, more expensive than most but definitely worth the price. It's truly beachfront with little motor traffic during the day. The staff are really courteous and made an effort to ensure that we had a wonderful visit. Our corner suite had a gigantic wraparound balcony so we had both ocean and lagoon views - great for spying on the iguana parade every morning! The food was reasonably priced and better than most of the restaurants in town as well.

The hotel is nicest one on isabela island, but its located at the side, so you can see from the window the flamingos and from the other side the sea, but you are less close to the center.

Beautiful location with a beach view. Spacious clean rooms, friendly staff. Would definitely stay again! Only downfall is that we sometimes had a hard time getting a warm shower.

The staff at Iguana Crossing are incredibly friendly and helpful and the property is excellent. The view can’t be beat, you have breakfast on the back deck with the flamingoes and then cross the dirt road to the Beach to observe the iguanas sunning themselves. Falling asleep to the waves crashing on the rocks and fresh sea air makes for very restful sleep. The bar is nice in the evening to have a drink and watch the sunset. You can also sit outside at the pool which is very comfortable with plenty of lounges and umbrellas for protection. It is located at the far end of this quiet little town, which takes barely 15 minutes to walk from one end to the other. if I ever find myself back in Isabela, this is where I will stay.

Gorgeous views of sea & flamingo lagoon
Food was good. Staff were helpful and so friendly. Room was spacious and had a wrap around corner balcony. We had a beautiful view of the ocean, volcano, iguanas crossing from the beach to the mangroves ( hence hotel name) and a lagoon with 5-8 flamingoes at any time. Room #8 was the best room on the island.

Amazing location
Beautiful hotel right at the yellow sandy beach. Awesome, relaxing vacation spot. Rooms are big with openable windows so you can hear the ocean day and night. We did not even bother with air condition. There is a restaurant at the hotel but I would suggest to skip that. You need to order in advance, it is expensive, selection not the biggest the portions small and the taste not the greatest. Better off in the town. Everything else was excellent.

Sehr gepflegt und tolle Lage
Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand und verfügt über einen hübschen kleinen Pool. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und in gutem Zustand. Die Zimmer sind einfach, aber verfügen über einen schönen Blick aufs Meer. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Touren rund um die Insel.
