"We loved our stay here. We had two rooms for 8 nights. So close to the beach but surrounded by jungle. Some wonderful close spots to eat within walking distance. We had a lovely breakfast every morning and our rooms were tidied daily with fresh towels. Town and the parks were so close. Perfect location. Favorite part was waking up to the howling monkeys every morning "

"This Eco Lodge was a pure place in Paradise! I am a female solo traveler, came to ring in my 60th birthday to enjoy the Pure Vida life. This place did not disappoint! Waking up to the sound of howler monkeys, even some crazy coo-coo bird, echoing through a dense, emerald jungle, the air warm and alive with the crashing sound of the Sea, and tropical blooms. It felt like stepping into a slower, more intentional world. My mornings began with sunlight filtering through open-air walls, no glass needed-just a gentle breeze and the rhythm of nature. Casa Viva is the lush Caribbean side, where the jungle meets untouched beaches. I stayed for a week, and did not rent a car or take a taxi or tour. The days were simple but full, walking through the trails at the Lodge, and the beach all the way to Manzanillo, enjoying the deserted beach, and rhythm of the Sea. I spotted sloths draped lazily in trees, even one with a baby! Entertained by the howler monkeys no matter where I went, Parrots and Carlos even pointed out a Toucan for me. Everything around you is thoughtfully designed to blend in, not take over. You're not just visiting nature, you're part of it. At night, it's a different kind of magic. The sound of the Sea and the steady chorus of insects and frogs. A true paradise here isn't about luxury in the traditional sense. It's about connection-to nature, stillness, and honestly, to yourself. "

"Breakfast menu was great! Staff was excellent and very accommodating. There was lots of wildlife to see right around the pool area and from our porch at the room. Congo Monkeys, Green Parrots, Tucans, Giant Iguanas, and even a Sloth frequently visited the trees behind the bar. Especially in the mornings! Very entertaining! Bring your binoculars! Only issue was the cell service was very weak in that area and the WiFi barely worked in our room but it did by the pool"

"Great place to stay on the Caribbean side! VERY nice owners who were super helpful. This place literally has a private beach!!! The house itself was so much fun and HUGE! Great if you have kids or even if you want a romantic getaway. Would definitely stay here again! "

"The staff were incredible and so helpful. The cabins are open air; just screen windows, so if you hate being damp, this is not the place for you. There are also a lot of ants, so don't leave ANY crumbs unattended. Location and garden were amazing... Definitely a "roughing it" kind of stay, so be prepared, and bring waterproof bags or ziplocks for your electronics"
