"Aux Charmes was our stopover the night before crossing from Calais on our way home to Scotland. We have stayed in several locations whilst making our road trips and Boulogne Sur Mer has become our preferred place to enjoy a last evening on the Mainland! Aux Charmes has been a great find. It is in a quiet Cul De Sac, yet a very short drive to Boulogne, and equally the A16 motorway. Even I, as a Scotsman did not mind the fact that we had to pay a toll before the free section to Calais. "Secure parking, close to the tunnel, room tiny but clean. Functional. No real amenities, the cafe is closed. For me the Jury’s out on whether I like the digital check in for everything and no reception as such. Instructions could be a bit better. "

"We were greeted by the host, who showed us around and made us feel welcome, despite arriving later in the evening. Though we only spent one night, the place was perfectly clean and comfortable, and should we return to that part of France, we'd be very happy to stay again."

"Je voulais une nuit détente au jacuzzi et repos : le jacuzzi parfait mais le reste nul : le lit gratais ; la literie ne sentais pas bon et l’état général de propreté ma declenché une crise d’allergie ( c’est pour dire!!!). Pour courro et le tout la télé ne fonctionnait pas et l’annonce précisait un petit déjeuner qui n’existait pas . Résultat : on a très mal dormi et on est très déçu . Re prix est aussi surfait . Bref ; c’était nul "

"Out of 8 very nice hotels we stayed at during our motorcycle trip through France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany, this was our favorite. Great location in the town, secure parking for our motorcycles very friendly and a wonderful quirky room with a much needed spa. Bathroom was extremely nice and super clean. We will always book here first."
