"The hotel is situated far from attractions like Preikestolen or even Stavanger city. This means a lot of driving on toll roads and tunnels. The hosts very kind and helpful. The appartment was small and the kitchen was not very usefull. The breakfast was excellent."

Excellent place to stay.
"Beautiful hotel, nice location, host is very nice. We arrived late almost to the time that the restaurant was about to close, but the kitchen staff extended their hour a bit so we could order our dinner. Breakfast is also very good, many choices."

The monument consists of three swords that are fixed into the grown. They symbolise peace, unity and freedom. The hilts of the Viking swords are taken from swords found in different parts of the country. The monument is made by Fritz Røed (1928-2002), and was unveiled by King Olav in 1983.
