"Nice clean hotel just outside the city Centre but not far from the main train station. The room was nice, bright and clean, the amenities were very nice and the breakfast was quite tasty and reasonably priced. The staff were very accommodating and pleasant. The attached German/Italian restaurant was also very good."

"Rooftop sauna area was lovely but pool the floors down sadly. Shocked at being charged 5€ a day for “ energy costs” when checking out!!!! No replacement of coffee pods or tea bags- very mean for a 4 star hotel. We slept ok but some may find train noisy outside our window. Rhine view nice and citibikes to hire on site - very handy and cheap! "

"Brunfels Hotel is an excellent stay right in the center of Mainz. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are nicely cleaned and charming. Our favorite is the breakfast, this was incredible! Delicious and every room is so beautifully decorated for a charming stay. "

"Beautiful decorated clean modern rooms with an amazing view over the vineyards. We were pleased with both the evening meal and breakfast - with lots of amazing vegan food. We are definitely planning on coming back in summer because the terrace looks amazing and we would love to see the view again when everything is green!"

"Budget accommodation. Smallish room, tiny bathroom. Cleanliness so la la, our son was sleeping in the upper bunkbed and discovered lots of dust. Despite being located in an industrial neighborhood they charge 5 Euros per night for parking, which is a bit petty."
