"It's a 2nd time we stayed here. Love the views and the food. Lovely base for hiking. You don't even need a car. We get a bus from Munich. The hotel has a heated swimming pool, sauna, large gym. Looking forward to coming here again in the winter."

"We loved our stay at Hotel Alpspitz. We booked two rooms and both were so comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was great. Very room and great mountain views. GOOD: - amazing breakfast - large rooms with balcony and mountain view - lot's of parking / garage and front of hotel - friendly stuff BAD: - if you like a coffee after breakfast the charges are extremely high (you get it from the same machine where you get your morning coffee for free) - charges in general for drinks are very high - they don't take American Express "

"Celebrated an anniversary and birthday while staying at the Waxenstein. An anniversary card and chocolates in our room and a special birthday breakfast table with champagne for my wife’s birthday. All unexpected but greatly appreciated. No doubt our future trip to Grainau will include a stay at the Waxenstein."
