Charming, but desperately needs some love.

The exterior of the hotel is beautiful. It is centrally located in Rieti as well. So, if you are wanting to stay in the city center, I would recommend this hotel. The staff was incredibly kind as well. But be warned, this hotel has been touched since ~ 1950ish. To say it the hotel is outdated would be an understatement.

There was no safe in our room as stated when we booked. The hotel is very tired looking, wallpaper hanging off walls, cracked toilet seat and only 1 charging point in our room. Breakfast was okay nothing spectacular. Staff on reception were very pleasant and accommodating.

Well Past It's Prime...

The Grande Albergo was past it's best, the rooms were worn and the bathroom was dropping to bits. The air conditioning was centrally operated and probably twenty years past it's peak. On the positive side, the staff (Marco) was great and the location perfect.

Front desk personal is nice, however the cleaning personal needs some training, as they accessed my room twice during a 4 night stay even with the do not disturb sign on the door! Breakfast is decent but if it is crowded, do not bother ordering a coffee since they wont bring it if you were lucky enough to be able to even request one. The hotel is also staring to need a renovation or at least a mild face wash. Overall it is a bit oldish, but at least it is well located.

Centrale ma difficile da raggiungere

Impossibile da raggiungere vere con il navigatore, abbiamo girato in tondo senza arrivare a destinazione, poi chiamando la reception l’addetto molto gentile ci è venuto in contro facendoci attraversare una piazza in pieno centro che in teoria non avremmo dovuto poter attraversare ma ci ha fatto il pass ztl. In camera aria condizionata non sufficiente avuto molto caldo. Colazione molto scarsa e trovato scarafaggio morto sul fondo della ciotola delle biscottate confezionate. Comunque il personale è gentile e molto disponibile, ci ha fatto il favore di parcheggiare davanti all’hotel in pieno centro.
