Room was dated but adequate. It’s the staff and location that make the Abbey a worthwhile consideration for a place to stay in London. Lots of shops in the area to peruse and many good dining options! The staff were extremely helpful whenever we needed their assistance!

From the minute this weary traveler stepped foot into the restaurant/pub I knew this would be a huge bonus to my trip other than just a room! The entire staff were amazing! The food was so delicious (especially the DEEP FRIED BUTTER CHICKEN - the lamb shanks, and many other dishes.The rooms were very cozy and the beds are big. I throughly enjoyed my stay .. the only drawback was that the fan on my thermostat didn’t seem to be able to be adjusted..so I assumed it was at a set speed. All in all this American loved the hospitality! Thank you all

I love this hotel and the staff was amazing. I was able to have them change and secure some top restaurant reservations. The one thing I didn’t appreciate about was that I wasn’t staying the for the full time I booked and Expedia wouldn’t let me adjust this from 5 nights to 4. The hotel said they couldn’t adjust this because of Expedia so I paid for an extra night. The breakfast service is great and location can’t be beaten. The rooms are small and no room for suitcases so we would trip on them on the way to the bathroom but other than that the staff, location, hotel itself are great.

This was the point of my trip to Porto - to access the Douro River Valley. The valley was among the most beautiful places that I have ever seen in my entire life. Totally stunning and worth it! I drove and from above and below [along the river edge] everything is simply breathtaking.

Definitely walk the high bridge over to Gaia so you can take in the whole river and see the city of Porto
