The location near Termini was great. We were able to come back mid day to freshen up. Staff was friendly and let us stay an extra 30 mins before check out. What I did not like was the mattress was old and super used, the couch was dirty, the shower was just horrendous: sprayed everywhere (but there was warm water!), and the comforter doesn’t look like it’s been washed. I didn’t hate my stay; but didn’t love it either. I will not remember this place two months from now.

Pros: the location was great, the staff were really nice, the hot tub was a great way to end a long day, and they held our luggage for us after checkout which was really nice. Cons: there was no free breakfast even though it stated on the booking (which was a huge reason we booked this hotel), the shower leaked and wouldn’t drain properly plus was situated at a bad angle, and the hot tub started leaking. It was not a bad stay for a few nights but I would not want to stay here long term due to showers being hard to take.

Good for quick stay.

Conveniently located by the central train station. There's a lift so that's a plus. The gentleman at the front desk allowed us to store the luggage in our room since we arrived early, the room wasn't clean yet and it was before checkin time anyway. The bathroom shower stall was a bit small and the glass shelf was dilodged which could have easily fell off and unto our feet.

Everything was good in this hotel, it was clean and staff was nice, only things is that our room was flooded the first day and no one to call because it was late, the next day the staff member was on it and very polite, he cleaned right away! But overall very nice!

Our stay was quite disappointing overall. Several things in the bathroom were not working properly, and we had no hot water for an entire day. I had to report the issue twice before it was finally fixed. The staff were also quite unfriendly when we arrived, and at times they even seemed annoyed, which did not make us feel very welcome. The only real positive is the location: there is a metro station nearby, and the Colosseum is about a 10-minute walk away. Considering the price, I think you can find much better options in Rome.

Great little hotel

We enjoyed a lovely overnight stay at Hotel Amici - very simple, small boutique hotel. Has lots of character! Our concierge recommended a lovely little place around the corner for breakfast. Recommended.

The photos online are not a good indication of what to expect. The shower in the delux double leaked and would not stay on the wall. Also very tiny. The toilet would stick flushing. There was a gap between the bath and the wall. There were holes in the wall by the air con unit that really wasn’t adequate at all. The bed headboard was covered due to the state it was in. Staff were pleasant but not there often. There was no sign of a breakfast area, and really the ‘guest house’ is just half the 4th floor of a building which photos do not make clear. It was well situated and near the station, but I would not book again as was not what the pictures led us to expect.

Our stay at Amici was better than expected! It was close to the monuments and the train station as we wanted. The room was bigger than we thought it would be. The desk attendant even let us keep our bags behind the counter when we checked out so we could tour the city a little more before leaving. Thank you for a great stay!
