Stayed here before our tour was to start from Rome. Picked this place to stay based on budget for two single rooms, one needing to be accessible for me to get around with my walker. Was VERY surprised and pleased with our selection! The staff were very kind and helpful. There are stairs at the front of the building however if they open the car park doors there is a ramp to go up and a back door that opens near the reception desk.
On top of that they provide a very European breakfast which for my traveling companion and I was just wonderful! We both have Celiac Disease and everyday there was a selection of gluten free products available for us to have for breakfast, in addition to the cheeses, cold cuts, fruit and tomatoes, yougurts, juice and coffees. I will definately return if I get back to Rome, other than our stay planned already for the end of the tour for us.
Only downside were I use shampoo and conditioners at the places I stay. These are not provided at the Casa Helena along with there are no fridges in the rooms to keep medication cold.
