I arrived waaay early, knowing that I had no hope of check in and just hoping to store my bag, but to my surprise the host showed up and gave me my room! After a sleepless night of travel that was incredible!
The room was small and basic but it was clean and cute and perfect for me. The bed was very comfortable and warm (it’s cold in January), there was a full length mirror, a towel warmer, a rain shower head and a bidet. The only thing I missed was a hair dryer, but that’s no big deal. You might find the shower snug if you are generously proportioned but It was fine for me and even had a line to dry clothes, which I love. The common area also has a machine to make various coffee drinks.
It’s fairly close to The Vatican, about a 40 minute walk to the train station and not as close to some of the historic sites as I thought it was when I booked, so keep that in mind if you don’t like walking long distances. But I had fun exploring the neighborhood (read: getting lost.) I also felt it was a safer neighborhood than the one closer to the train station, which, as a solo female traveler, is important to me. I thought this was a great deal for the price.
