City House is in a fantastic location - next door to Santa Maria Maddelena church, half a block from the Pantheon, about 4 blocks from each of Piazza Novena, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, and in its own small plaza with several good cafes right outside the door. All of this makes up for the slight inconveniences of the apartment itself. The hosts are friendly and accommodating and the room was clean and spacious, but the beds were quite hard and the shower had several issues (slippery floor, leaking door, no anchor for the handheld shower head). This is not a "hotel" but a few nicely restored rooms in a very old building. Visitors must be prepared for a little inconvenience: taxis must drop you half a block away because no cars are allowed on the street, and you must climb narrow stairs up one flight to the rooms. Still, in a city where location is everything, I would recommend this accommodation.
