This hotel absolutely blew our minds. This was a GORGEOUS hotel with a beautiful church, an incredible restaurant, and a breakfast to die for. I highly recommend staying in one of the “Prestige” rooms for extra space. It also had a huge bathtub which was so nice after walking around all day. There is a panoramic terrace on the top floor if you want a KILLER view of Rome with a glass of wine while the sun sets. It is also in the heart of Trastevere so right outside are all the great restaurants, cafes, and shops. I will absolutely be staying here on my next trip and I recommend you do too!

The hotel is in an excellent location in the heart of Trastevere. In addition, the hotel has tons of history and character designed by Francesco Borromini dating back to the 17th century. The beautiful gardens and roof top patio are an added perk. The staff was exceptional helpful.

Donna Camilla Savelli is one of the most special hotels in Rome. The staff are truly wonderful — warm, gracious, and always attentive. The food is outstanding, and every meal feels thoughtfully prepared. The location in the heart of Trastevere is perfect, surrounded by great restaurants and charming streets that make every walk feel like stepping back in time. The property itself is breathtaking, with that beautiful antique atmosphere I love, and the functioning church inside the hotel makes the experience even more unique and meaningful. My room was excellent, with all amenities available and beautifully maintained. I truly will be back. this hotel remains one of my favorite places in Rome.

This was the perfect hotel for us! It has so much character and captures the spirit of Rome. The rooms were well stocked and perfectly cleaned, the hotel was luxurious and affordable and the service was impeccable. A special shout out to Matteo at reception who gave us an insider’s guide to the best local gems. This was a quiet oasis in Trestevere and a 10 minute walk to bus stops to take us around the city.

The hvac was utterly inadequate. The bar staff were lovely. Prices for food at the restaurant were unaligned with food quality. The breakfast was terribly overpriced, especially for dried up food, and fighting birds to maintain a full plate.

We really wanted to love Donna Camilla Savelli. The hotel is beautiful, unique, and in a fantastic location for exploring Trastevere. Unfortunately, our room—301—was directly above the main entrance and faced the road. It was extremely noisy throughout the night, and we got very little sleep during our two-night stay. The air conditioning also only cooled the room to a certain point, so it remained quite warm. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable as well, which made sleeping even more difficult. It is a beautiful hotel with plenty of character, but a comfortable and quiet night’s sleep is essential. Sadly, based on our experience, we would not return.

We arrived at 3:00 pm tired from traveling, the staff was rude and not helpful. Elevator was so slow we had to carry our own bags up the stairs to our room. Room was not as described, very small and hard to navigate around the bed, without falling because there is a step down a couple of feet on right side of bed, ridiculous feature. There were 4 towels, 3 stained and one that appeared to not have been washed at all. When I approached the front desk to complain, the attendant a young man, started laughing. He was joined by the bellmen, who also thought it was funny. Following morning we were leaving for airport, manager approached me to say she was sorry and would apply a 100 Euro credit to my account, which she did not do. I am disputing the charge on the basis of service, cleanliness and lack of truth in advertising.
