Excellent Hotel! will stay here again.

The staff was so caring and helpful…they wanted to do everything to make us happy! so professional. The location is wonderful near the San Giovanni Basilica and lots of decent restaurants. Buffet breakfast had enough variety to satisfy all.

Great location as it is close to Roma Termini and within walking distance from the bus that is a few stops from the Colosseum. Direct bus route to major tourist attractions. Room was clean and comfortable, although bed was a little hard for my personal preference. Breakfast buffet had lots of options. Staff was helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Good location of hotel for what we wanted to do. Staff was slow and unresponsive, rather ”sleepy”. Breakfast was a joke, almost nothing to choose from, it was a question of shouting to get the basics. The room itself was nice, but it was not clean even when the cleaning staff had been there. Dust on the floor, shower not clean, strange smell from the bathroom and long black hairs everywhere.

St. John Hotel is Recommended

I love this Hotel very convenient although it’s like a 3 minute walk to the nearest tram and metro station. Their airport transfer picked us up with a Mercedes Benz and they were very accommodating especially when your flight is delayed. We contacted them via what’s app and the driver gave us a quick tour and trivia about Rome :) Their breakfast buffet is bomb almost everything is there except for icecream. The room is clean and their reception is 24/7. Wi-Fi is accessible and elevator is in good condition. Their reception also gives calling cards of tourist agencies offering tours. You can get a map on their desk so you’ll have a guide exploring Rome.

The staff is outstanding…kind, professional and responsive. The rooms are comfortable. Only 2 minor issues…I like having an outlet available next to a bed to plug my phone in. There is one on the desk and one in the bathroom. Also, I suppose this is true for all hotels in Rome…we were there at the beginning of May and it was starting to get warm. I did not know that the country does not allow them to turn air conditioning on so early. I would stay here again for sure. I loved the neighborhood. Not heavily touristy.

A close walk from the Roma Termini. 5 minute walk to the colosseum and on to Rome central from there. Not in a tourist area. Rear of hotel overlooks a school and the windows are not sound proof. Rooms were nice if small, showers are also small. Day staff were friendly. We had an issue first night upon returning from an afternoon exploring we found the curtain has detached from the ceiling. No maintenance available, asked if we’d sleep without a curtain, when that kind offer was rejected we were informed there’s no replacement room available, then there was but it was a twin only room rather than the superior booked. Next morning we were moved back into a different superior that had been available the night before. Breakfast was very enjoyable. All in all, once the issues were resolved it was a pleasant place to stay.

We’ve stayed for 6 days at the Hotel Saint John. Safe area & mostly quiet. Walking distance to the Colosseum! On your way, you pass by a supermarket & a few small stores. Many restaurants & shops towards Roma Termini Station in another direction. My window faced the back towards a school so it was quiet at night. Slept with the window opened due to the air conditioning being turned off during February- which was fine because the temperature dropped overnight from 50’s Fahrenheit to 40’s Fahrenheit. Breakfast offered a wide variety to choose from. Staff were great; friendly & helpful. Room was modern-ish & neat. Room was a good size for me alone. Can be a tight fit for 2 people. Can use a few more outlets / usb outlets. Bed was a little hard. Tub could’ve been more cleaner. Water ran all over floor during showers due to the small shower door. Overall, a very good place to stay while in Rome.

Wonderful hotel, close to a lot of tourist spots, like the colosseum, staff were very kind and friendly and provided great service, the buffet breakfast had a lot of variety and was very tasty. It was clean but the bathroom needed a little bit more cleaning, there was a lot of water residue, water spots. Overall it was good hotel, I’d recommend it!
