The hotel is beautiful and is in an amazing location. And the rooftop bar is especially nice. And the hotel staff was just incredible. Our airline lost our luggage and we had difficulty tracking down our bags for several days. We were on a multi-city vacation and the staff at Mecenate Palace Hotel assisted in communicating with and tracking our luggage. We truly appreciate their professionalism, kindness, and assistance.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. The hotel located close to many restaurants and gift shops. Roof top bar was nice especially at night. We would stay there again!

Fantastic hotel in a great location, quiet near the colosseum, room was comfortable and clean with large bathroom and breakfast was great on the roof terrace with great views. Only negative was the over priced drinks for the evening in the hotel bars even with the great views so tended to go elsewhere.

Very nice place to stay while visiting Rome. The location is right across the street from the Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica and in walking distance to all the major sites. The morning breakfast was very good and the roof top restaurant and bar were amazing. Keep in mind you need to reserve a spot for the restaurant or bar since it is very popular. We will be back for sure.

This is my go to hotel in Rome. Easy walk to train station and about a 20 minute walk to any tourist site. Friendly staff and the atmosphere and decor are great. Breakfast on the rooftop each morning is great! Room is comfortable and has fridge and tea kettle. Bathroom had great water pressure and lots of hot water. Lots of bars and restaurants near by. I can’t wait for my next trip!

Love the location across from Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica. The breakfast on the rooftop was excellent. We enjoyed the rooftop bar and dining. Just remember to reserve since you will need to. The room was clean and you could open the window which we love. It was easy to get around by walking, taxi, bus or the hop on hop off bus was around the corner. Will stay again.

The room was clean but very old. No modern technology in the room. The bathroom was quite dated. Staff was somewhat helpful with ideas for transportation. It was situated in a good area in relation to some of Rome's attractions. I would not stay at this hotel again with respects to its age.

The location of the hotel is very good, being in front of the Basilica and 5min walk from the central station. The hotel interior is quite old and ok maintained. Quality price is ratio is not there. The view of the roof top terrace is stunning, but the prices for drinks are out of mind. (eventhough the cocktails are very good) The restaurant is good, but even here the quality price ratio is not balanced. There is far better food in Rome and surroundings for far lower prices, but without the stunning view. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.
