Great place to stay for those cruising out of Warnemunde. Nice family atmosphere, with very helpful and courteous staff. Also - best breakfast buffet I have ever seen, hands down. 🙂
As always, relaxing and cosy in a beautiful setting with everything you need as a family. The suite, the pool, Admirals club, the restaurant - everywhere things are geared for kids without the kids being in the center - so the adults feel relaxed too ;-)
We stayed here for one reason and one reason only; it was child-friendly.
It wasn't, though. It's a spa-hotel. Kids are only allowed in the indoor pools (but why, oh why?). So outdoor pool was out of the question in spite of almost 30 degrees outside.
There's a separate kids pool indoor. But it's only possible to use it from 10-11 and 15-16 daily. Again - why, oh why? The staff was even questioning this. My daughter and I got kicked out of the pool because we used the kids pool. We were the only ones there - and it's a separate room to the large pool. So weird.
Kids below 3 years old aren't allowed in the pirate ship - so our smallest wasn't allowed. Again - not good enough.
The breakfast was nice - but totally not for kids. We had an awful time there as we felt like outcasts ruining the lives of everyone else.
So - for kids, wouldn't recommend.
Decor is also a bit weird - but more a matter of taste. Has the feel of a Thai spa hotel from the 90s. It's nicely cleaned and all - but a bit of an anacronism to be honest.
It was amazing! I did ask bellhop to deliver my luggage After dinner I stopped registration and my luggage was still there. I took my luggage back to my room.
