We had a really lovely stay here over the weekend. The staff were fantastic — friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful — and the hotel itself was lovely. I’d noticed some of the less-than-great reviews before staying, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect. Yes, the hotel is a little dated in places, but honestly, if you’re travelling around New Zealand, that’s hardly unusual — especially in Rotorua! For us, it was clean, comfortable, had everything we needed and the staff really made the stay. We were very happy with our experience and would happily stay again. 😊

The room was large 66 square meters, warm, equipped well. It’s in front of Rotorua lake, close to the Government House. We dipped in the spa pool that was barely able to stay in as the temperature wasn’t hot enough. So does hot pool. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. We will use this motel again.

The staff greeted me with kindness and were very helpful. The rooms were large and spotlessly clean. I will definitely return, next time I stay in Rotorua. It’s a very convenient place to stay. Plenty of parking, opposite the Gardens and a one block walk from the main street.
