historucal building and beutiful garden. good rocaion. near by musuem park. some thing are very old but works perfect. bathroom is littlebit uncomportable.

Ground floor room with full rosy garden! Quiet neighborhood and pleasant service. How coulb be better than this hotel among three stars.

Still wonderful
I stayed in this hotel on August 2013 and visited again to celebrate new year in the Netherlands. Still wonderful~! My room was clean and the reception desk showed me warm hospitality and the employees were always ready to help and serve. I highly recommend this hotel.

warm greetings and nice support
Every employee was well ready to serve, help, and fulfill my needs. Friendly guided me to show nearby tour courses with detailed explanations. I could sincerely feel they willingness to help me. Clean rooms and safe surroundings. Easy access to every location such as Rotterdam central station and any kind of enjoyable places by Tram, Metro, and even just walk. If opportunity is given to me again, I will definetely stay at the Hotel van Walsum. Thank you. I highly enjoyed their service.

arrivée à 23h00, la réception m'indique que ma réservation faite pour 4 nuits a été annulée et que l'hotel est complet pour les 2 prochains soirs !! J'avais fait cette réservation 3 mois plus tôt et avais la confirmation avec moi ! 2h avant j'avais même reçu le mail d'expédia pour me demander comment s'était passée l'arrivée à l'hôtel ! Je n'ai eu aucune explication ni de l'hôtel ni d'expedia de cette annulation, les 2 affirmant que le problème n'était pas de leur ressort ! Expédia m'a remboursé mais je n'ai recu aucune dédommagement des frais complémentaires que j'ai du engager pour trouver une chambre d'hotel à minuit pour le soir même et suivant, nombreux hotels de la ville affichant complets (sans parler du moment de stress vécu à minuit dans une ville que je ne connaissais pas pour trouver une solution de repli !). Voyageant très régulièrement, jamais eu ce type d'expérience mais expédia et cet hôtel plus jamais !

Good location, walkable from Rotterdam central station but also only a few steps away from the tram stop which goes directly to the station. Quiet location with lots of restaurant options around. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though I asked a stupid question about why I needed the elevators to get to my room on the first floor (in North America first floor = ground floor), the receptionist was patient in explaining to me. They also helped answer questions about transportation around the city. It’s a great value property.

Fijn familie hotel schone kamers met alles aanwezig. Goed bed. Prima douche. Fantastisch ontbijt. De betaalde parkeerplaats is een spannende doorgang vooral met een wat bredere auto. Maar gelukt.

This hotel has been my favorite stay while traveling over Europe. The staff was amazing. Bike rentals through the hotel were super easy, and the breakfast was incredible.

Fantastic!
We loved this hotel. There was a warm welcome and we had a beautiful family room with outdoor space accessible from it. The room was really well-equipped with a coffee machine that made lovely coffee, hair dryer and loads of towels. Location was fantastic with easy access to the city sights. Really recommend this hotel.

Arrived early, were very accomodating. Lovely, tranquil outside courtyard. Beds comfortable. Room was larger than we had expected. Staff very friendly. Would recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel: good value for your money. Superfriendly staff, nice breakfast, good beds, clean room and there were parking facilities (€20 per day; Rotterdam parking is €5 an hour). Would def recommend and come back.

Room was very clean and large! We had a small terrace balcony, which was delightful! Breakfast was plenty and delicious. Very accommodating for our early arrival. Assisted us when we needed a taxi. Overall, excellent stay

Newly renovated hotel in a historic building. The ceiling of the room was amazing. Stuff are very friendly and let us check in earlier. Location is very convenient for major attractions. Will come back again.

Net hotel met vriendelijk personeel. Kamer was perfect! Heerlijk bed en nette badkamer. Alleen wel aan de prijzige kant maar dat is alles in Rotterdam… maar verder prima! Zat hier voor een festival en de bus voor de deur reed richting Ahoy! En centrum is ook makkelijk te bereiken met ov of lopend.

Home away from home!
Fantastic stay! The hotel is in a great location and is a home away from home. Beds were so comfy, staff were very helpful and the area is quiet. Will stay here next time I’m in town!

We were upgraded to a huge apartment, with a full kitchen, living room and bedroom. Lots of space, and great for us, as I am an early riser and hate disturbing the others. BUT the apartment was at the top of 3 Dutch staircases. Lots of stairs here.

Very friendly and helpful staffs. The rest of the hotel is different from what is shown on the pictures. The train station takes 15 minutes to walk to or costs €4.50 tram/bus ride for 2 stops.
