"The most important thing for me was how quiet the rooms are. This is an all suite hotel so all rooms have a living room w/ kitchenette and separate bedroom. If you have the bedroom door closed, you can’t hear people walking to and from their room, which was a huge plus to me. The hotel offers two complementary cocktails during the evening get together (I forget what it’s called) and also free made to order breakfast in the morning. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody asking."
"The Clyde is a beautiful hotel. It is well located in downtown Albuquerque. It is about 10 minutes from the airport. We weren't there long enough to enjoy the pool but it looked beautiful."
"We were grateful for an early check-in, but unfortunately, the room had been marked as "inspected" despite not being cleaned at all. We walked into full trash cans, dirty towels, and an unmade bed. The front desk host handled it promptly by having it cleaned and offering a room change, though we declined the move since our luggage was already unpacked. They also offered us bottled water for the trouble.
Once cleaned, the room itself was nice, cool, and offered a beautiful view. Free breakfast was a nice perk, and while you can hear the nearby airport, the noise didn't bother my family.
However, we had another major issue the next day. After showering, I discovered grape jelly smashed into my dress. No one else had been in our room besides housekeeping, which was incredibly frustrating. Additionally, the manager (or a woman who appeared to be) was seen keeping her dog inside the hotel and taking up two parking spots with her vehicle.
The room and view are great once sorted out, but the property severely lacks attention to detail and professional management."
"Late check-in went smoothly with the friendly front desk staff. Also nice to see security patrolling the parking lot. Noon check-out was also awesome, especially considering the late check-in we had; that extra hour of sleep goes a long way.
My only real gripe is that the hardware affixing the toilet paper roll and hand towel holders were both loose and the toilet paper roll made an escape when I tried to yank off a few squares of white gold after my evening constitution. Not a big deal, though.
Nice place, would stay here again."
"The place was really nice, but it was very noisy. It seemed more like a party type Hotel versus somewhere relaxing and quiet. Also, every time you take a shower the smoke alarm goes off and that was pretty stressful, but the view was nice and it was very clean housekeeping was amazing."
"We recently stayed at Quality Inn & Suites Albuquerque West while traveling with our three boys (ages 4, 6, and 10).
Overall, we had a good experience. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good with a decent selection, although it wasn’t anything exceptional. The pool was a highlight for our kids, who had a great time swimming and playing.
My only significant complaint was the cleanliness of the room floors. After all three of my boys took showers and were getting ready for bed, their feet became noticeably dirty again just from walking around the room. I had them wash their feet a second time and carried them to bed to keep them clean. Out of curiosity, I took a wet towel and wiped down the floor, and the amount of dirt it picked up was surprising. The floor clearly needed a much more thorough cleaning.
The friendly staff and family-friendly pool made a good impression, but the dirty floors were hard to overlook."
