“It is self check in. No staff other than a housekeeper. Lounge isn't stocked with anything useful after the breakfast. Dumpsters are a mess with animals dragging food from dumpster out into parking lot. My vehicle got broken into and all of my debit/credit cards were stolen. Noticed that there were many people using the property like a park and ride. There is a liquor store and restaurant/bar at the property that seemed popular. The hotel served it's purpose for us, since it's close to highway...

“When our initial room didn't have much of a window, the staff was very helpful and quickly switched us to an available room with a balcony for a nominal fee. The place has a cool retro beach-motel vibe, which some may enjoy more than others but we liked. Despite the meh weather, the attached pub was pretty lively for dinner with a nice outside seating area and I'm sure that during the summer the whole place and attached small beach are very lively. “The chalet had charm. The one complain I have is that they messed up my reservations. i had booked two rooms and I called to confirm the day off and they told me that i only had one room. I showed them my credit card charges that showed two rooms were charged for. I had to scramble to find another hotel and ended up costing me close to $400 for the night and turned out it was a lousy hotel. “Went just to spend the night as there was a concert nearby I was attending. We got into the room and the oder of the air conditioner was musty. That was a concern. Worst of it, when we got back from the event to go to bed, we pulled the sheets down and the bed was full of bedbugs. Sickening. We left and demanded a refund, and the night clerk said I need to call the manager in the morning. This was around midnight and we decided too late to find another hotel and try the long drive home, which is...

“The property is very old and dingy. I found the rugs to be dirty and the bathroom was moldy around the tub and shower. The TV only worked partially continuing to go in and out. I requested to change rooms and they did accommodate me to a better room. More than likely it is my last time at the hotel, even though it is very close to where I want to be.”

“While doing a search for motels on L.I., I found that prices had doubled and tripled from when I stayed at another location this past March but I found this gem for the price that other hotels were charging months ago and investigating further, found a majority of very positive reviews. If you need a negative, it would be the tight parking between the buildings but other than that, I would stay there again.”
