A good place to stop before a flight

We needed a night stop close to the airport before returning to Mauritius. The hotel was perfect. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. The hotel arranged a taxi for us the next morning. It seemed expensive at 35 euros.

This hotel is amazing. Centrally located and looks a lot better than the photos. Staff is very nice and since we don’t speak French, it was nice that they could converse in English with us. The rooms were very spacious and they added some nice touches. The only thing I would add is a couple more vegetarian/vegan options on the menu in case guests don’t feel like venturing out for the evening. This is a Reunion Island issue, but we expect hotels to have more of a wider menu. Overall, an excellent choice for a hotel! Reasonably priced, clean, and the location can’t be beat!

For a moment, upon entering my room, I was a bit underwhelmed. But then i opened the curtains exposing the brilliant Indian Ocean view (I think all rooms have this view), I checked out the stylish bathroom, and I switched on the perfect AC, and I realized that this is a really great place to stay in Saint-Denis, which is a vibrant, hip, and thoroughly enjoyable city. I was super comfortable here.

The noise around the hotel is insane, not even from the road from from the rooms around you and the hallway. Some people smoke on the hallways (hall ways are open, but smoke goes everywhere). The restaurant takes booking but as it is also open to public they seem to have problems with supplying the meals their menu lists. The floorboards in the lift are rotten and loose and don’t be fooled by the image of the pool as it is tiny. All together the worst value for money and untidiest place I stayed in Reunion.
