Breakfast was excellent .The two employes were oustanding with great service and a free wine tour and tasting of their wines Need a car to get there and drive around
Gilles is an extraordinary host, the place is very nice and convenient for the Pauillac and Saint-Estephe (and other) wineries. The breakfast is also amaizing.
Hosts superagradaveis e sempre prontos a ajudar.
Stay at Chateau Ormes de Pez is cozy, comfortable and peaceful just like village name. Gilles and Nedage provided fantastic services and made our stay better. Highly recommend if you want peaceful getaway in Bordeaux region.
Our stay at Chateau Ormes de Pez was wonderful, my only regret is that we didn't give ourselves enough time to really enjoy the Chateau or region. We were only here for one night and leaving early the next day, but Giles was a wonderful host who accommodated our requests (picnic basket of ice for our wine by the pool, scheduled a wine tour of the facility that we weren't able to attend due to our schedule, restaurant recommendations emailed prior to our trip, and a wonderful breakfast). The wifi was not great, but we were warned by Giles that it had "country wifi" and just gave me an excuse to stay off my phone. We picked up groceries at the local supermarket and ate back at the Chateau with a bottle of wine enjoying the sunset and playing Monopoly.
A few watch-outs are that there were mosquitos in the area as soon as the sun set. Would recommend sleeping with all the windows closed and with a fan, provided upon request. While the Chateau is obviously old, it is well maintained and the bathrooms and shower felt clean and newer than other Chateaus we stayed at during this trip. The property is lovely and we used the pool, which looks out over some grapevines and provided the perfect relaxing afternoon we were hoping for. Would definitely recommend staying here!
