“Lovely property in a prime position just a few minutes walk to the beach. Rooms (superior) very comfortable and clean, staff were lovely and attentive. Food in the restaurant was excellent, but the service was slow. We pre ordered our breakfast on the day we left as we needed to get on the road as it was a long journey, that worked out well. The waterfront just up the road is worth a visit. Would recommend.”

“Second time we stayed at Gonana, right on the beach. Nice firm bed, hot breakfast. Would be nice to have a small fridge in the bedroom to keep water cool on the hot day. Anytime self service upstairs at the breakfast/ lunch area. Definitely, we will be back”

“Located right beside a quiet, peaceful stretch of beach the setting is perfect with beautiful views from the dining room. Just a short walk away is the waterfront with all its trendy restaurants. It’s also only about a 5-minute walk to the main beach and strip of eateries. The staff were super-friendly and helpful. There’s a lovely honesty bar. All in all a superb venue for a weekend. ”

“We were upgraded to the family room, which was great, the only concern was going up and down the steep staircase having to access the kitchen and bathroom, and there is no TV in the bedroom. Something I did not see mentioned in the reviews I looked at was that the nearest shops are 20km away, in Ysterfontein.”
