I've stayed at The Star Hotel several times now. My son is based at the RAAF Base, East Sale and The Star Hotel is very convenient as far as distance to the base, close to town and on site parking. All the staff are very friendly and professional. Anita, Nikki, Tanya and Jess always go out of their way to make my stay comfortable.

Staff were excellent. Considering the building is extremely old the apartment we stayed in (Room #1) was clean with plenty of self contained facilities. The washer and dryer did not work properly but staff allowed us to use thier appliances. Overall, excellent.

I have stayed at The Star Hotel several times now. The location is convenient, close to shops and the train station. All the staff including Anita, Jess, Tanya, Nikki and the bar chef Jade are all welcoming and caring. The hotel manager, Jeremy always helps me with anything I need as far as my stay in Sale. Thanks.

Check in was smooth and cheerful. However the room wasn’t what I expected. In choosing a queen bed room instead of a smaller double bed I missed noticing that the queen room didn’t have an ensuite and we were faced with having to use a shared bathroom. Luckily it was right next door and we never saw anyone else there. The other disappointment was that the room was up three sets of stairs and with me in a moon boot with a fractured foot, it was quite uncomfortable going up and down, which I had to do several times. It also meant having to leave our suitcases in the car. It would have been helpful for the hotel description to have more information on the situation.
