Fantastic place, the staff were really friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant both nights of our stay and the food was superb and restaurant its self was sited beautifully between the pool and veiws across the valley. Fully enjoyed our stay very relaxing after the rat race of naples.

Villa Rizzo is a beautiful agriturismo getaway. It was a good home base with its proximity to the Amalfi coast, Pompeii, Naples, and the beaches near Salerno. Could have had a little more variety for breakfast but aside from this, it was exactly what we expected.

Peaceful surrounding, nice pool but sadly open only from 10-18, closes too early:( Room was nice, a bit oldish style though. Mold on shower and on wooden floor outside shower. Glass door to toilet is nice idea but doesnt work in practice. Light from toilet is visible to bedroom. Sand road to hotel in bad condition. Hotel needs few improvements but ok value for money:)

Amazing venue and services - but need to ask

An amazing venue - would have been helpful if it was a bit more obvious which services are available, and how I could access them (specifically the spa and pool). But once found, they were brilliant!

Un lugar más pensado para locales que para turista

No muy buena experiencia con el servicio de recepción. No recomendaría si no vas en auto, queda muy lejos del centro de Salerno. Tienes buses que no van muy seguidos y se debe caminar más o menos 3km que es mucho cuando el hotel queda en medio de la montaña. Positivo: Las instalaciones son lindas y un lugar para relajarse o comer bien (cena) y el chico encargado del bar y cena que nos atendió. Muy amable. Negativo: Ningún servicio de comida entre las 15:30-19:00. Si es llamado resort en mi experiencia debería haber una cocina más flexible. Llegamos como a las 16:30 y preguntamos por si hay como pedir comida y nos dijeron que si, pero cuando vamos al bar nos informan que la cocina está cerrado solo hay chips. Atención del personal en el check-in mi recomendación ver más a los clientes y explicar cómo funcionan las instalaciones. Más atentos. Desayuno: te dan a elegir un solo plato entre tres alternativas. Un plato de fruta, un plato de omelett o un plato de panes dulces. Muy pobre las porciones y te quedas con hambre. Piscina: No obtuvimos información en la recepción que se debe ponerse gorro para poder nadar. Nadar con gorro en esa parte de Italia en verano? No recomendaría este lugar, mejores opciones si tu plan es viajar por varios lugares en Amalfi

Jede Nacht haben in der Umgebung und auch direkt auf der Anlage Hunde lange und laut gebellt. Auf der Anlage selbst laufen 3 Hunde herum, die jede Nacht sehr laut waren. Das Bett war außerdem sehr unbequem und daher war Schlafen überhaupt nicht schön. Warmes Wasser kam auch nicht immer. Zum Frühstück gab es kein Buffet, nur 3 Gerichte zur Auswahl und auf Nachfrage, ob man zu dem Rührei Frühstück etwas Obst haben könnte, wurde nur gesagt, dass man sich für eines der Frühstücke entscheiden muss und es pro Person auch nur ein Frühstück gäbe. Im Pool MUSS eine Badekappe getragen werden. Das scheint in Italien in einigen Regionen verpflichtend zu sein. Die Liegen am Pool haben keine Auflagen. Das Abendessen war aber sehr gut und preislich angemessen. Nach Salerno fährt man ca. 30 Minuten mit dem Auto.

From the outside, it looks a lovely place to stay (and from the description) But from the unsure ladies on reception to the un-smiling waiting staff - we were overall disappointed in the Hotel Villa Rizzo. The hotel guide that is in the rooms needs updating - As we arrived around 3, the information booklet told us sandwiches were available in the pool bar, as the restaurant closed at 3, but when we asked for some we were told that no sandwiches were available - only crisps and a few other snacks We had read that service was slow in the restaurant but when there is only one person serving 10-12 tables - then what more can you expect! Food was fine - but choice was limited. Hotel lacked atmosphere and friendliness but had the potential to be a really nice place to stay for R&R - maybe we visited on an 'off' day?!?!

Per quello che abbiamo speso speravo di piu'.

Hotel immerso a 360° nella natura, molto tranquillo e pulizia ok. Per il resto voglio lamentarmi: Camera: su Expedia ho prenotato una camera mi sono ritrovata in mansarda; (sicuramente risponderete che e' un' antichissima masseria...come descritto in foto...ve lo potevo chiedere di cambiarmi la camera...ecc ecc. ma come descrivero' in seguito le cose bisognava tirarvele fuori dalla bocca). Posto: siccome avevamo deciso di raggiungere l'hotel in treno/ autobus proprio per evitare lo stress da traffico su strada provenendo dal Nord, e' stato praticamente il contrario: purtroppo il luogo non e' raggiunto da nessun collegamento autobus e quello piu' vicino e' a 30 minuti a piedi. Ora..so che risponderete di nuovo che potevamo chiamarvi per organizzare il trasferimento...ok che vi avevamo chiesto il martedi se avevate auto a noleggio...ok che vi siete dati da fare e che poi l'avevate trovata per il mercoledi...ok che in seguito abbiamo rifiutato perche' per 1 giorno e mezzo avremmo dovuto spendere all'incirca 190 euro + 40 euro per portarla in hotel e ci pareva un po' eccessivo..vi posso anche dar ragione..ma elencare fin da subito al check-in le varie opzioni?E lo sapevate benissimo che eravamo senza macchina, con ritardo del treno di 2 ore e con una "passeggiata" dalla fermata dell' autobus all'hotel con borsoni al seguito.E non dite che non lo avete fatto subito per farci andare direttamente in camera a riposare, perche' potevate benissimo farlo dopo.Ascoltate di piu il client

Great Getaway Resort

A great find out in the country. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you will need a car to stay at this hotel, but it is well worth the drive. Located in the middle of a hazelnut grove it is a very lovely and tranquil spot. Salerno and the Amalfi coast are just a short drive away. We had the breakfast package on our trip and ate breakfast at the restaurant every morning, a great way to start your day. We dined at the restaurant one evening and the food, wine and service were outstanding as was the spa that my wife had a massage at. Our only complaint is no wi-fi in the rooms, wi-fi is available but only in the common areas(pool, restaurant).

Overnight stay

The hotel has a large country area location and is pretty rural in outlook. We were travelling with our family dog. The room facilities are spacious and practical. The staff were helpful and the hotel was busy - it was a weekend. We were pleasantly surprised with the restaurant and dinner was good. Breakfast was also more than adequate. We enjoyed our stay and would return should we be in the area again.

un ponte de 2 giugno in "cerimonia"

Durante il nostro soggiorno con i bambini ci siamo beccati un compleanno durato fino alle 2 di notte, un matrimonio per l intera giornata che ci ha costretti ad andare altrove e una comunione il giorno dopo. Un ponte in tutto relax.!!!!!! Sicuramente non è un 4 stelle per quanto riguarda la cura degli ospiti. La location merita ma si nota chiaramente la gestione in economia della struttura. Personale volenteroso e disponibile ma non in numero sufficiente per garantire un servizio adeguato alla categoria.
