This was a great choice for me and my family. We had a great stay. The staff was nice but they could have been more warm and friendly. The rooms themselves were clean and maintained well. I like that it was like an apartment (it had a fridge, microwave, stove top, sink, and plates/cups). The breakfast was good. The location was great for us because we were able to walk to the mall that's nearby and it was a short drive to downtown San Jose.

This hotel is definitely not rated Wonderful (as indicated by Hotels.com), but for the price, it is good. First, the positives: the rooms and facilities are clean, the rooms are spacious, the staff is friendly, and the free breakfast is good. Another bonus is that there is a huge shopping mall just around the block. That said, the facilities are pretty dated. There is no A/C, so you will have to open the windows to get some air, but right outside is a super-busy, multi-lane road with constant honking. It is also right by the railroad tracks, and you will hear the train signals and trains passing by. The garage is very narrow and tight to get around. Overall, it is fine if you just need a place to sleep for one night, but otherwise, I am not sure I would recommend it. Some of the points of interest in the photos are nowhere near the hotel. For example, Mercado Central is at least a 15 to 20-minute drive away.

Yep, great place if you spend little time at your hotel, like conference or whatnot. The staff is super helpful and generous, always trying to help out. A little noisy, but disappears into the general buzz of San Jose after a while. Absolutely recommended!

We had a nice stay but the area around seems dangerous based on all the electric wires and fences and gates on all properties in the area. Breakfast was good and staff friendly and helpful. Rooms was clean. No A/C but windows offer a breeze but there is plenty of noise. Door to the room seemed flimsy and hollow with no extra lock, just door knob lock.

The ataff at this older building made the visit very comfortable. Its an older, clean, well maintained hotel. It’s great to have free laundry facilities. The breakfast was variable. If you like eggs, request them. Hotel transfers are arranged not included. My taxi to the airport was not comfortable. Again a friendly outstanding staff Muchas Gracias

B- grade

Hotel staff were courteous, helpful, and professional...room was well-equipped, well-prepared, and fairly quiet...hot water in the shower was super..breakfast was good, but the packets of butter should have been refrigerated or iced, as the ones I used were rancid and odorous...my only strong criticism was the state of the carpet in the room -- it was filthy and it blackened the bottoms of our feet...dirty footprints were visible on the tile in the hallway and bathroom...I suggest a deep steam cleaning or total replacement of the carpet

This hotel seemed to be mostly well kept. They did not have AC which was a bit of a downside. The staff at the desk does not often speak English, although the manager/owner does, so be prepared to use your Spanish! Getting Uber is convenient and easy to do from the hotel. I had a shuttle that left to my next destination at 2:00pm on check out day, but the hotel did not allow for late checkouts. They were willing to keep my luggage though while I waited. They allowed me to wait at the property. The maids are extremely friendly. There is no restaurant in the hotel and the nearest restaurant is Taco Bell, less than a block away. I kept missing out on breakfast because their breakfast ends pretty early in the morning. I swore the sign in sheet said it went until 9:30am, but by 9am breakfast was already cleaned up. They have a really good coffee/cappuccino machine if you want coffee and it is $1 per cup.

Hotel is outdated but very well located in a very nice neighbourhood. Also, be aware that the city train starts at 515am and is extremely loud, especially if you’re sleeping with the window opened due to no AC in the rooms. The staff were super nice and extremely helpful.

This hotel was the one we stayed in before our flight to the US the next day. There was a quick check in. They had a garage to park the rental car. The suite was ample. No air conditioner. It had fans and we opened the windows. That part was a bit uncomfortable since a train passes by like every 15 minutes. It was very loud. Thank God it stopped going by before bedtime. The hot breakfast was good: eggs, sausage, rice, toast, fruit, drinks. The hotel was close to restaurants and malls.

The receptionists are all very kind and helpful. The check-in and out are fast and easy. The room is big and has all the necessities, so you can cook if you want to. Although the hotel infrastructure needs some improvement, the location is perfect, near the mall, fast food, and a convenience store. The breakfast is nice and has some choices. The tours I booked can pick me up from the hotel directly, so this is great. Will come back.next time.
