Overall a Good Stay
Rooms were clean and comfortable and by European standards a little larger than most. Restaurant at property was very good. Breakfasts also had good variety. A few observations: rooms were a little warm even with the air conditioning on; and while the property is on the Rhine I could not see any common sitting areas where a person could sit and enjoy the view.

A lovely place to stay when visiting the Rhine valley. Safe, clean, centrally located and spectacular views. Breakfast was excellent as well.

Beautiful, Friendly, Relaxing
We had an amazing time at this hotel! The location was beautiful, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The food and wine were a nice addition. Be mindful that the hotel is on the outskirts of town and about a 45 minute walk to town if you are coming in by train. Otherwise, there were no issues or complaints about the Weinhotel! We loved it and would come again if given the opportunity.

We couldn’t have been happier with both the property and the staff. Our rooms were better than we ever expected, spacious and clean, beautifully appointed with a view of the river. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us, in spite of the language barrier! The meals we had there, including the house wines, were great too! The people in the town of Sankt Goar deserve a special mention too, as a few kind souls arranged to transport us from the train station, when we discovered there were no taxis in town! We highly recommend this property and I am sure our stay therei will remain one of the highlights of our trip!

Amazing hotel with room overlooking the Rhine River out of a huge window ! The owner and staff are so friendly and kind! The dinner was exceptional, and the dining room enclosed with windows overlooking the Rhine and served by a very attentive and friendly waiter. Great experience! One thing to be aware of is that it is approximately a 2 mile walk from town if you are without car.

A warm welcome
We had a lovely overnight stay with stunning views of the Rhine. As it was February we were unable to take advantage of the riverside terrace but we dined well in the restaurant and took advantage of the products of the winery.The only slight criticism is that the breakfast, though good, was expensive.

We only stayed one night. Very nice and friendly staff! The room exceeded our expectations and was very big for our small family. The room also has a beautiful view of the Rhine river. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was delicious!

Beautiful hotel with a great view!
We stayed here for a few nights and had the family room that had two rooms. The rooms were beautiful and super spacious with seperate doors. The view was amazing and it was very relaxing. The rooms came with a fridge although from the pictures we thought there was also a balcony and/or a full kitchen included. Also be forewarned there are lots of stairs and no elevator or bellhop service which seems to be common across hotels in Germany, which could prove difficult for someone with disabilities. Overall, this was a gorgeous place to stay!

Gemütliches Hotel direkt am Rhein.
Schönes Zimmer mit Rheinblick und modernes Badezimmer. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Leider wurde abends die Klimaanlage abgestellt und mit offenem Fenster bei diesen vielen Güterzügen zu schlafen geht nicht.

The location on the river was excellent however the train tracks were also very close on the other side of the hotel so it was a bit noisy with the windows open. Dinner on the terrace was excellent (food and view), however, they ran out of hot breakfast items 30 minutes after breakfast opened and never replenished. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel is outside of town enough that nothing is within walking distance.

Hadden de familiekamer op zolder met twee ruime slaapkamers en een kleine badkamer. Te klein voor lange mensen, doordat de wanden schuin zijn. Drie trappen op, er is geen lift. Goed restaurant en heerlijk ontbijt. Wij misten koffie en thee op de kamer of op de verdieping. Het hotel ligt ver buiten het stadje aan een drukke weg. Geen leuke wandeling mogelijk.

På hotels.com angavs att hotellet hade pool. Hotellet har inte pool. Vi hade bokat ett familjerum. Rummets ingång låg på andra våningen men rummet hade en invändig smal spiraltrappa upp till en tredje våning under takåsarna. Rummet var vid ankomst närmare 40 grader varmt. Rummet var inte utvädrat och varken AC eller fläkt var startade. Vi fick omgående starta AC som endast kylde ett av de tre rummen. Efter ett tag fick vi därför öppna alla fönster och takfönster för att få ut den värsta värmen. På natten stördes vi därför av den regelbundna och mycket täta godstågtrafiken. Rummen var rena och i gott skick och sängen bra. Middagen i restaurangen var helt ok men en av servitörerna lite väl snorkig. Övrig personal på hotell och i restaurang var mycket trevlig.

Clean New and spectacular View!
Super clean and new, VERY nice. Stayed in the quad room. Views are EXCELLENT. Small issue with air conditioning probably due to english/german communication. Figured it out on my own and WOW air conditioning was Great! Hit our heads a few times as the walls are the roof line and slope in. SO WORTH IT! Loved the views of the Rhine, watch the barges go up and down. Plenty of parking! Close to many castles! Views of Cat Castle. Did I mention the view is Spectacular! Only regret is we could only stay one night. Oh and they have a riverfront restaurant! Loved this place want to come again!

Beautiful spot along the Rhine River
Beautiful spot along the Rhine River. We stayed in an apartment with several sleeping options perfect for families- bedroom, alcove with twin bed, and a pull out bed in living room space. We stayed just one night but would be a great spot for several with a kitchen. The restaurant was beautiful and the outdoor patio pure perfection. Staff was friendly, food and wine delicious.

Das Hotel hat sehr freundliches Personal und sehr gutes Essen inkl. Weinangebot. Das Zimmer welches wir gebucht hatten war zwar gross, aber wurde wohl seit ca. 20 Jahren nicht mehr erneuert bzw. etwas darin investiert. Eigentlich schade, denn es hat direkte Lage zum Rhein und da könnte man massiv mehr draus machen. Gross war es, aber auch der Balkon draussen war dreckig und deshalb eher nicht so toll.

Tired on the Rhine
This hotel was good but not amazing. It is just now a little tired and in need of some TLC and updating. The brand of the hotel seems to cater for those more senior in age. However the staff were great in looking after us. We had a very large annex room with a view of the Rhine and the dog was no trouble. Breakfast is a large selection of continental options. A good choice for those on a bike riding holiday or if you have a car.

Ein Kurzurlaub im Weinhotel Landsknecht
Wir hatten 5 Nächte im Weinhotel Landsknecht gebucht. Das Frühstück war frisch und ausreichend, allerdings wenig abwechslungsreich. Wenn man längere Zeit dort verweilt, wird es eintönig. Die Küche ist super. Das Essen, welches man hier zubereitet, schmeckt einfach klasse. Auch der Wein der Fam. Lorenz schmeckt sehr gut. Eine Weinverkostung, die man auch selbst zusammen stellen kann, sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen. Es waren ein paar schöne und erholsame Tage. Aus unserer Sicht nur empfehlenswert.

Tolles Hotel in dem man sich 100% wohlfühlen kann!
Wir haben für eine Nacht im Hotel übernachtet. Das Hotel ist Familiengeführt. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Das Abendessen war Spitze - hatten ein Candlelight-Dinner zu einem fairen Preis gebucht. Für einen Kurzurlaub zu Zweit sehr zu empfehlen.
