Very nice hotel in central location. Great restaurant on 3rd floor a big bonus. Staff was great.

A pro is that it's close to the Zocalo. But the con is that taxis and Uber cannot drop you off in front of the hotel, which makes it scary if arriving very late at night. Hotel is slightly tilting, like many buildings of Mexico City, but that causes some drainage issues in the washrooms, if the water in the shower flows over the lip, instead of it flowing to the overflow drain under the sink, it can flow onto the carpet, which causes musty carpets. 1st room we had was very musty, so we switched, but the 2nd room had a similar problem, but was less musty. Carpets in both rooms need replacing. Visible black mold in the upper corner of our washroom, due to the overflow of the shower in the room above mine flowing down. I would recommend that the hotel builds up the lip on their showers to alleviate that problem. Had some insect problems in my room. Had some bites, but I can't confirm if the bites occurred in the room. I killed 4 insects. Perhaps they got in when the door was open during the room cleaning, but the hotel should check whether there are appropriate filters for the HVAC system. Towels and sheets could probably be washed with more bleach. Great guest lounge with water and free snacks. The rooftop restaurant, La Terrazza, has a great view of the Zocalo and they make the caesar salad at the table. The stained glass ceiling and old elevator are beautiful. Nice, hard working, uniformed staff. There is more staff than one would expect from a 60 room hotel.
