The staff was so kind and the property looks on the beautiful cliffs of Madeira. We loved being able to use the Galosol pool, this was definitely a highlight. There are many restaurants within walking distance and parking is very inexpensive and easy in front. Nice to be away from the city but still close to visit as needed, would recommend for a relaxing stay!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is right at the ocean front with excellent food, coffee in walking distance. There is paid parking close by butbwe weee able to park free in the hotel parking lot. The lot is small so we may have been lucky.

Our room was cute but our patio was not comfortable or inviting.The view on their dinner patio is beautiful. Need nicer furniture. Breakfast and dinner was great. Staff are exceptionally kind and great service.

Gäste mit Halbpension bekommen einen festen Tisch für jedes Abendessen zugewiesen und sollen vorab spätestens morgens ihre Bestellung von 2 Gängen abgeben. Die besseren Plätze stehen den "normalen" Gästen zu. Essen ist qualitativ gut und man kann hinzubestellen, abgerechnet wird nach jedem Essen. Sat-TV hat ein beschränktes Angebot an deutschen Sendern, nur anspruchslose Sender wie rtl, sat.1 oder pro7, einzig DW (englischsprachig) hat etwas Niveau, oder halt CNN usw. Parkplätze nur an der Straße. In 200m Entfernung ist das Galomar mit Spa und Schwimmbad.

Vista para o mar fantástica

No geral foi agradável, embora o quarto não tivesse ar condicionado, wifi e o aquecedor do wc não funcionava. Um pequeno almoço agradável mas faltava café expresso. A vista da esplanada e sendo o Hotel junto a arriba virado para o mar é fantástica.

Très agréable

Hôtel très agréable avec très jolie position : magnifique pour manger sur la terrasse donnant sur la falaise. Pas loin de Funchal. Le personnel est souriant et avenant. Restauration et petits déjeuners : bonne sans être exceptionnelle. Grande chambre avec bonne literie nordique.

lovely place away from tourist craziness

we were pleasantly surprised by this friendly hotel in the lower region of the Canico village. There's a grand terrace with beautiful views of the ocean, something you won't get in the Funchal hub. Nice restaurants in the area with only locals say it all. everything you need is on your doorstep. rent a car! and explore the island. walk the paths! learn from the staff where to go to... they are the experts. what a nice time we had, especially when we surprised the kitchen with this 9 people dinner party they perfectly coped with. thanks again.
