Monteverde Lodge by Böëna
Absolutely loved it! Beautiful location within walking distance of the main hub and onsite dining was delicious. Birdwatching and wildlife tours arranged by hotel were also top-notch. Highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat.

Our standard Queen room was small but high-ceilinged, stylish, and comfortable. Sleep was disturbed a bit by street noise and bright light outside door. Awesome location; neat and spacious villa right at the foot of Arenal; Highlights are the private hot spring pool, large back yard well maintained, fire pit and finally the unique shower/bathroom in main bedroom :)

The owner Roy was super helpful and had a big heart. We were hit by a motorcycle at the entrance of the hotel in a dark night. Roy stayed with all night to calm us down, handle the issue as translator, as coordinator guiding us through the whole process and brought us to the police station to report. ...
