One of the best hotels in all of Italy!

My wife enjoyed her massage with candle at the spa very much! The hotel is incredibly beautiful and dinner and breakfast are both spectacular! We return every year to this incredibly beautiful hotel! The staff are also so very friendly and are almost like a 2nd honorary family to us! Bravo!

The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning and well maintained. The staff are lovely and helpful. The hotel is quite dated and would benefit from a refurbishment. No iron or ironing board in the rooms. Also no kettle, wine glasses or tea/coffee facilities. Great location

We loved our stay in Santa Margherita, the hotel is super well located right next to the train station and next to the bay. Also the views and ameneties are quite unique with an underground heated salt water pool.

We stayed with 3 children, the location and facilities are excellent. What makes this hotel extra special are the fantastic staff who are helpful and friendly. My children really enjoyed the pebble beach and the lifeguards made sure my children had something to play with. An excellent hotel, everyone made the extra effort to ensure my children had a wonderful stay.

Loved it here! After a long day of traveling, staying here to rest for two nights was perfect! Location was just where we needed to be! The town was amazing! Breakfast at the hotel was delicious. A lot to choose from. We only had drinks and a dessert at night and they were both great! We will be back!

Stay was perfect. Minutes away from the train station and close to the main part of SML. The room was a bit small but still great with a view of the ocean. Grounds were well kept and the Spa facilities were a hit. To top off the nice experience was the friendly & helpful staff.

Perfect hotel to stay in Santa Margarita Ligure

The property is beautiful, kept in perfect condition. Staff is very professional. Very good breakfast with impeccable service. We had a standard room but it was a good size, comfortable. One thing that we did not like is the shower. The position of it in the wrong place so it's uncomfortable to use otherwise the water would be all over the floor. Location of the hotel is also very good. We did not have a car and used the train to arrive, explore other parts of the region and depart to our next destination. The station is just a few minutes walk. Strongly recommend this notel for any occasion.

Lovely hotel staff, but ventilation is a problem.

The hotel staff was amazing - very kind and helpful. We really loved it, apart from one problem that meant we didn’t get a great sleep. The room itself was very nice, but be aware that there is no ventilation at all. We were told they only turn on the AC in summer, but we couldn’t even open a vent to let air in from outside. The only option is to have the balcony doors open, and unfortunately that comes with a lot of street noise late at night and early in the morning.

really impressive

im visiting Santa Margherita for over 12 years, couple of times a year (luckily, i live in the south of switzerland, 4 hours drive away), and had the privilege to stay in every 5 stars in the area. This time I was not happy with the offer of the hotels i usually stay in, so I tried Metropole and i was very deeply impressed. On paper, they are 4 star, but honestly they could easily qualify for 5 stars. amazing pool, amazing garden and beach, very nice decently renovated rooms, friendly and well trained staff. breakfast with great choices. beautiful spa. i can only recommend them and will surely visit in the future.
