Good Hotel

A quiet and peaceful hotel in the forest, about 25 minutes away from Porto. I recommend it.

Room was clean. Rooms are older with some updates. Bed was comfortable and we had a good sleep. We didn’t eat dinner but will be something we will need to try next time. Loved the retro decor and the foosball table.

The hotel looks old but don't discount it if you're looking for a short term stay. The rooms are small and clean. The bed is comfortable. Very good WiFi. The breakfast is better than basic and staff was excellent in providing service.

The reception in general were helpful and this area was clean. We cannot fault the cleaners who made the beds and changed the towels but the floor was clearly not cleaned and my suitcase was filthy after being stored under the bed so that had not been cleaned. Storage in the room was minimal to say the least and we had to live out of our suitcases during our stay because there was very few spaces provided. The bath was stained but I guess it’s a budget hotel so was not so surprised. We didn’t eat the breakfast but had dinner one evening which was just about ok, nothing more. The walls are paper thin and our last night was badly disrupted by the next door neighbour. We have stayed here multiple times over the years and it feels like the place has deteriorated. I suspect this will be our last time.

Excellent Stay with Great Service

We really enjoyed our stay at the ibis Porto Sul. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner there (pasta and pizza) and it was great. The beer choices were better than most other ibis hotels. The room itself was clean and the overall hotel was quiet. Our in-room coffee machine was broken but they provided an espresso shot in the morning at no cost. We would definitely stay there again if we were exploring the Porto/Aveiro area or visiting the nearby conference center.
