Babies swimming pool 😀
Friendly staff and ok service. Small rooms and old furniture. Not comfortable. On the photo the swimming pool looks large, but in reality it’s more like 2 by 4 meters. It is next to a restaurant where the music is played loud all the time.

Muchas gracias Sr. Nelson por darnos a conocer su experiencia, debemos aclarar que el único valor que no estaba incluido en la reserva y que se le cobró en el hotel fue correspondiente al IVA, y esta información se encuentra muy clara al momento de hacer la reserva con un texto que indica lo siguiente: "Impuestos y cargos incluidos, excepto el IVA. Los ciudadanos locales deben pagar el IVA en el hotel. Es posible que los extranjeros queden exentos". Lamentamos el mal entendido.

The windows were small and high up with no view. Good shower. Copious breakfast on a pleasant terrace. A small but near swimming pool was a bonus.

Good place for a stop over in Santa Marta
We stayed ar Hotel San Miguel Imperial between trips to Taganga and Ciudad Perdida. The room for four we firstd was a bit small, but we then were given a larger one on the second floor. The rooftop swimming pool and surrounding lounging area are a welcoming respite from the busy pedestrian central area, only 8 blocks away. Very helpful reception staff. Three blocks away from supermarkets and cash machines. Good air conditioner! Great value for money.

No working air con, rough location
The ladies at reception were very friendly... this is the good part of the review. Our room had only one towel and one power outlet which was currently lighting two lamps. The breakfast had hot milk for the cereal and mostly unappetizing and minimal fruits/meats. I had one of the worst sleeps in a room with no air or fan to speak of. The rooms echo considerably and you can hear everything in the hallways... every door slam or conversation. That night children ran unfettered screaming for hours which was beyond frustrating. They offered to give us a room with two separate beds the next day (we are a couple) but that is not how i wanted to spend our vacation so I asked to check out. Considering we paid for 5 days in advance I asked for one day to be refunded for the night of no aircon... they refused. Don’t be fooled by the nice pics, and it’s definitely not in a great location... unless you like cemeteries.

Not recommended, not clean hotel, no hot water
Staff were trying their best to be helpful but the hotel needs serious updating. No hot water, only 1 towel for 2 people, water from taps was black and showers very poor flow. Can't understand booking.com rating of 8.4 in 2015. Breakfast is slow and not good. Seems like same staff working in a number of roles that they are not trained for

Well located, helpful staff although little English, comfortable room but wish there was more natural light. Nice rooftop area with a decent breakfast provided.

Ci dispiace veramente quello che è successo. Ci scusiamo per i difetti presentati in quanto non potremmo avere tutto il personale del ristorante per i problemi sanitari. So che il gruppo ha cercato di fare tutto il possibile per fornire un servizio veloce ma non è stato raggiunto. Ripeto le mie scuse e spero che abbiamo l'opportunità di farti conoscere. Il nostro hotel accoglie numerosi gruppi di italiani che vengono a godere delle nostre bellezze naturali e abbiamo prestato un servizio secondo la situazione e ci dispiace che in questo caso non siamo soddisfatti.

Great modern hotel with excellent service
Stayed for a week the breakfast was served every morning freshly cooked. Good place to stay and plan day trips. Everything is within a few blocks

Hotel con buena ubicación, central y seguro.
Muy agradable y segura, se siente uno como en casa. Cómodo y agradable. Las personas muy amables y colaboradoras. Se me presentò una dificultad, con respecto al precio que había cotizado a travès de Ustedes, la cual fue del 50% de descuento en la tarifa de pago y ellos no tenìan esa información. Por tal motivo me cobraron tarifa normal. Me gustaría hablar con Ustedes que pasò que el hotel no se entera de los descuentos que Ustedes ofrecen a las personas por Internet. No me es claro el proceso que se sigue con los Hoteles que tienen alianzas con Ustedes. gracias.

Centrally Located Hotel
This hotel is in a good location with a/c. The area is pretty quiet and the rooms are clean. It's a nice place to sleep, but there is nothing above and beyond the basics. For the price, it's convenient. I would stay here again, but do not expect a lot if you stay here.

Good for the price for a day or two
Hotel was clean and as I expected for the price. In the center of Santa Marta, not far from the beach or Parque novios. No hot showers but that is very common. Staff were helpful and friendly. Some of them speak and understand English.

Es un hotel modesto pero limpio y con buenas habitaciones considerando el rango de precios en los que se mueve. La atención del personal fue excelente y el único problema que le veo para gente que valore el descanso por encima de todo es la existencia de una cigarrería bastante ruidosa junto al mismo.

Buen servicio pero ojo con el aire acondionado.
El personal del hotel brinda un excelente servicio, con cóctel de bienvenida y considerando que nos íbamos en la madrugada, nos empacaron el desayuno para llevar. La única calificación negativa es sobre el aire acondicionado que nos tocó en nuestra habitación, literalmente no nos dejó dormir ni descansar, demasiado ruidoso y ni modo de cambiarnos de habitación porque estaba totalmente lleno por ser Semana Santa. De resto estuvo muy bien.

Great hotel stop-over in Santa Marta
Couldn't fault my stay at San Miguel Imperial. We arrived late but they were ready to check us in. Complimentary breakfast was welcome. Wi-Fi fast. And they allowed us to store our luggage free of charge while we completed the Lost City hike. Well recommended quick base in Santa Marta.

Good place to stay
Nice clean hotel. Staff was tremendous especially a young girl who spoke english well enough o to offset my insufficient spanish. She was wonderful. Her friend gave her a ride to the hotel one day on the back of his motorcycle. Thank you so much sorry for not remembering your name. El gusto es mio.

Close to touristic historic center and beach
The hotel was comfortable though basic. It is located next to a bar so there was significant noise outside the hotel on Saturday night that could be heard (muffled) from the rooms. Friendly service, but apparently didn't charge my card the night we arrived and forced my husband to return to the hotel to pay in cash after dropping me off at the airport. Great breakfast of eggs, toast, juice, coffee and fruit. Located walking distance from a section with many tourist oriented businesses and restaurants and the beach.

Estuvo bien, muy atentos en recepción. Un poco de bulla por dos bares que hay junto al hotel...pero nada de que preocuparse...Igual es sólo par ir a dormir después de disfrutar las playas de la ciudad.

Buen hotel, un poco descuidado
El hotel esta en una zona céntrica pero a pocos metros hay 2 establecimientos que venden cerveza y tienen música fuerte, ambos, uno enfrente del otro, cual competencia de bocinas. Las habitaciones son de buen tamaño y tienen televisión con cable, el baño esta un poco descuidado, el agua de la regadera salía directa del tubo y del inodoro todo el tiempo se filtró el agua, también había un poco de moho en el baño en general. La atención de la recepción fue excepcional y muy útil. La encargada del desayuno podría ser un poco mas amigable, pero el desayuno es rico, muy buen café.
