"I didn’t stay at hotel. The hotel misrepresented their location. I chose the hotel because of its location in downtown Leticia; they are not located in downtown Leticia, they are located about 5 miles away from Leticia’s downtown. Anderson, the front desk employee, who also claimed to be the owner, wasn’t understanding about the situation and no help in resolving it either. Luckily, I have family in the country familiar with the city of Leticia, they put me in touch with a local travel agent who helped me find a hotel downtown Leticia. I reported the location fraud to the local tourism agency, they promised to follow up to get hotel to report correct address. I’m reporting this incident to prevent other travelers from being misled."
