We loved Regina Mare for its quiet and private. Compared to Oia and Fira, Imerovgli was a less touristic area.

Perfect place to stay in Santorini
Wow! My wife and I had the best time at Regina Mare. The view from our room was better than the pictures and in our opinion the best on the island. The staff were all welcoming and extremely helpful whether booking reservations, or giving recommendations. They truly care about giving good service. We booked a honeymoon room but were generously offered an upgrade to a delux suite. The room was clean spacious and extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed our breakfast in the morning that is brought to you on the balcony. The food we ordered from their menu was great as well. Their tzaziki with fries was a great afternoon snack. The location is about a 30 minute walk to some of the larger villages. We really enjoyed watching the sunset from our balcony and walking the beautiful path towards Fira for dinner. Overall we didnt mind the distance and the peace and quiet you get from the bustle of the main towns is soo worth it. The hotel has a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that was perfect for our vacation. Thank you so much to the Regina Mare team for an amazing stay!

Our room was small, the bed was very small. The toilet was next to the bed. No privacy. The bathroom amenities need to be up to date they are too old. Too many stairs to get out of the property. On the other hand, the view is beautiful and the staff is very polite, respectful, helpful, and very nice. the pool is cold.

Amazing place and would happily stay again. Comfortable room with excellent caldera and sunset views. Kostas and his staff were the best part. They organized all of our taxis as well as an ATV rental making our trip stress free.

Die Lage und Ausstattung unserer Deluxe Suite (Room 2) war sehr toll. Bett super bequem. Suite selbst sehr geräumig mit Vorraum und sehr grosser, privater mit Holztür abgetrennter Terrasse (Sitzbankbereich mit Tischchen und 3 Stühlen, zudem erhöhter Bereich mit Sonnenschirm und 2 Liegen, dahinter der Whirl-Pool). Grundsätzlich sauber gereinigt und erstklassiger und sehr freundlicher Service (Morgenessen serviert auf der eigenen Terrasse - nach Auswahl am Vortag. Alle Drinks und Barmenüs ebenfalls möglich in der eigenen Suite). Wenn das Wetter mitspielt (Dunst/Wolken) perfekte Sonnenuntergänge von der Terasse aus sichtbar. Freie Sicht auf die Caldera. War für uns ein einmaliges Erlebnis, das wir gerne jederzeit wieder buchen würden. Achtung: generell nur für Personnen die ohne Probleme viele Treppen gehen können. Die kleineren Zimmer haben die meisten nur einen sehr kleinen Vorplatz, der vielfach direkt an den allgemeinen Verbindungsweg grenzt.

We spent a week in Regina Mare and enjoyed our stay very much. It is so well situated with excellent view on the caldera. Thanks to the crew - Kostas, the manager, who was so helpfull each time we asked for support and all entire staff, our stay was really memorable and exceptional. Excellent staff and service! We stayed at room 2! Although we booked a room with an indoor pool . They upgraded us in room 2 with the outdoor jacuzzi! Amazing view and cozy atmosphere! Generous breakfast! A nesspreso coffee maschine with capsules, cold water bottles and a bottle of local wine is offered to you for freest a welcome as soon as you get to the room! When you arrive mr Nick and KONSTANTINOS are there to help you with your luggages and to make sure you are getting treated like a royal! KONSTANTINOS is willing to saw you everything from a map and point/book/reserve the best places to visit on the island! Our flight was a night flight so They let us stay extra hours until noon and kept our luggage until afternoon, so that we don’t have to care them around all day! Definitely worths the money! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

Good selection for breakfast. Great view of caldera and very private hotel. Comfortable bed however AC unit faced the door leading outside therefore the bathroom and bedroom didn’t get as cool as I would have liked. With the hotel being private (no one walking past your room) you do have to walk a significant distance from the parking area. But the view is worth it.

Regina Mare has a great relaxing, quiet feel to it. The rooms were very clean and nice. Pool and the views were awesome. It’s important to call the hotel 10 minutes before arrival in order to get help with your baggage, as the hotel is in a pedestrian area that is a good 150 meters from the street. Helen and the other employees were extremely friendly, and helpful. If you like hiking, the walk to Oia is spectacular, 2.5 hours.

Die Hotelanlage liegt an hervorragender Lage. Das Zimmer Nr. 17 (Superior) war wunderschön und gross genug mit genügend Ablageflächen. Zum Zimmer gehörend gibt es einen gedeckten Vorplatz mit Tisch und Stühlen zum Essen, Trinken und Verweilen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Im Bereich Sonnenschirme (zuwenig und nicht seitlich neigbar) sowie Liegen (ohne Auflagen) wäre Nachholbedarf angesagt. Am Frühstücksbuffet gibt es nur Portionenhonig und kein frischer. Eine Dusche im Poolbereich existiert nicht, obschon gemäss angebrachter Poolregeln zuerst geduscht werden sollte, begeben sich alle verschwitzt und mit Sonnencrème in den Pool. Aufgrund des Abendrückfluges mussten wir die Hotelanlage erst um 1800 Uhr verlassen. Wir mussten unser Zimmer fristgerecht bis um 1200 Uhr ausgecheckt haben. Trotz Rücksprache mit der Rezeption wurde uns kein Zimmer mehr zur Verfügung gestellt. Als Alternative konnte man im Pool baden und ein WC neben der Rezeption zwecks Umziehen nutzen. Zu unserem Erstaunen wurde unser Zimmer an zwei andere abreisende Gäste, welche bereits um 1700 Uhr die Anlage verliessen, zur Verfügung gestellt.

This property was in an excellent location in Santorini. We were looking for a place away from the tourist crowds yet still accesses the spots to go to. There’s some walking and stairs to get to it, but we loved our stay.

We wanted to stay in Imerovigli searching for the right hotel. It was my GF's bday so it was important to get it right. The process, if you're reading this you obviously know , is quite difficult. If you are reading this feel secure that the pictures and the 5 star reviews of the Regina Mare are 100% accurate although the pictures don't do the location of the hotel the justice it deserves. The beauty of the pics of Santorini show white glistening hotels and buildings next to each other dotting the hillsides they are built into. Makes a great picture but visiting a number of them while there, eating at restaurants overlooking them, they lack the privacy that the Regina Mare provides. Its truly amazing as you see only one hotel barely to the south and nothing but mountain to the north and in front and below nothing but mountain terrain and the sea.. It truly feels like a separate piece of paradise. Sitting by the pool at sunset watching the brilliantly gold sun gently drop into the horizon is breathtaking. It feels as if you're on an ocean liner's balcony in the middle of sea. We saw a number of sunsets from various locations, and sitting at the hotel was the best. The rooms are all different, depends on your budget, you won't be disappointed. There are a few small rooms surrounding the pool you should try and avoid though. Its a bit of a walk to get there from the cab but so well worth it. Helen the manager is amazingly wonderful and the staff is warm and friendly! Book it!

Beautiful hotel with a fantastic view of the caldera. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially with baggage (it's a bit of a climb down to the hotel). They will also help you book taxis and tours! The town is a little smaller than others we visited on Santorini, so the options for restaurants/bars were limited. Overall, this is a beautiful location and the sunset view is one of the best you can find! Just be prepared to climb lots of stairs and head to another town if you are looking for a livelier night. Would definitely recommend!

Regina Mare is an "Adults Only" hotel, which suits us. Although far from being isolated, it is very quiet and intimate. The rooms are typically Santorinian, which could be described as basic if you have only experienced 5 star Western edifices. However, there is everything you need for a relaxing, fabulous holiday.

Excellent hotel with beautiful views
Regina Mare is located in the village of Imerovigli north of Fira. It's within walking distance of Fira along the caldera walking path but is much quieter. It sits on the rim of the caldera with beautiful views and an excellent sunset. The rooms are clean and modern with sea views. The buffet breakfast is served from by the pool and you can eat there or take it to your own patio or balcony. Breakfast consists of English type breakfast food and a good selection of Greek food, along with sweet items. Unlike a lot of hotels along the caldera all the Regina Mare's patios and balconies are private and not overlooked or bordered by the path. The staff are excellent and can arrange trips or just give advice. It is an excellent hotel to stay in.
