"We booked this lodge almost a year ago. It is a new and there were no reviews at the time of booking. We arrived at 1330 and we were not able to access our room until 1400. Once we entered the room the temperature was well over 90F/32C. There is no fan in the room. There are two small windows in the rear, however there is no screen to keep the bugs out. You must appreciate rustic and that not always will you have power and hot water, it is very very remote and difficult to get to. "Amazing don't actually capture how wonderfully this place is. My room was very spacious and clean. It had all the amenities you will find on a luxurious hotel in a big city. The lodge is perched on a hillside overlooking a huge and gorgeous valley. I can lounge on my patio seats all day looking at the valley. Breakfast needs a bit of improvement, but lunch and dinner offerings were quite delicious. Those guys will feed you to death if you let them. I definitely recommends this wonderfully...

Pumba Luxury Camps

10/10 Excellent

"Mussa and his team are fabulous. I went with my two sons in July 2026. The location of Pumba Luxury Camp is amazing. You feel the thrill of sleeping in the middle of the bush, surrounded by tall grass and wondering what animals could be hiding there. But the staff is constantly patrolling the area. No need to worry. They always escort you from your tent the lobby and dining area, and back again. Very attentive people. And kind. They taught Swahili words to my sons :) great human capital in Pumba camp. The tents are super comfortable. You can decide whether to bring down the tent sides or keep them up. I kept them up to look at the bush when sleeping. It felt magical. I heard the sound of hyenas in the middle of the night, distant though. I would definitely recommend this place to other travelers. I liked it a lot."

"We stayed for 2 nights in July. Anantya Serengeti was so well maintained and clean. The hotel was situated in a beautiful location, which encouraged animals to roam the grounds. The first night, we encountered two buffalos. The second night, a family of thirty over elephants walked infront of our room. The bedrooms were spaced out to give privacy. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious, however the packed lunches were not good. One incident marred our stay, where the rangers had set fire to the land opposite the lodge. Smoke engulfed the entire property for a few hours from dinner to midnight. This caused me an allergic reaction to the smoke, which entered the tent. The hotel staff and operations manager had to frantically ensure the fire did not spread to the hotel. Better coordination with the rangers should be done in the future. Any fires should be done during the day when all guests are away."

"Danny is the perfect host. He took care of everything and did so much to make our stay special. With Bush side breakfast and dinner with a campfire along with a perfect sundowner, he and the staff ensured our stay was extra special. And of course, Denis our safari game driver made sure we saw everything that one hopes to see in the Serengeti… leopards, cheetahs, hippos, elephants, giraffes, gazelles, impalas… even a serval cat, along with a huge pride of lions full of cubs. Incredibly special place and more than worth it."
