In the hearth of Alentejo‘s beauty

Rooms are large and modern with a great view and beautiful surrounding. Dinner at the restaurant was very tasty. Breakfast and service were rather medium though.

Volto pelo segundo ano consecutivo. Recebem-nos com a mesma alegria de sempre, o que para mim é uma das coisas mais valorizadas. We stayed over during winter time (December) to check ou the Hotel for an event in May. The surroundings are gorgeous and you can feel the calm of Alentejo right in. The food is absolutely delicious and staff very friendly and available. A note: majority of the rooms does not have bathroom door, which came a bit as a surprise. The suites do have door but are in need of a little TLC in the bathroom to bring it to a 5* review hotel. Overall a lovely stay and will be able to stay again!

Lovely country hotel.

I only stayed one night, but had a very enjoyable visit. The room is very nice with a small porch and views of the countryside. The staff is nice and the food was quite good and very reasonably priced. The weather was a bit too cold to enjoy the beautiful pool but I suspect that come the summer it is lovely. The room looked a bit “worn” but it was clean and there were nice amenities provided. We had brought our own bikes to tour the area, but they do have some for guests to use which is nice, Overall it was a great stay and it is an easy transfer from Lisbon airport.

Nice property, unfortunately the room that we stayed at was not properly kept. There was a scent of mildew when we entered the unit. Paint was cracking throughout the walls. The cork covered floor was water stained throughout, more so in the bathroom, where signs of mold could be seen.

Home from home in an amazing part of the world

We were a family of four spending 5 five nights in a three bed with a pool and an amazing view of the natural country side. The overall impression of the place was relaxed and friendly. But sometime this could be missed as too laid back with varied interaction with the reception team. Maybe their English was rusty? I think you have to remember that you are going somewhere remote from the usual tourist locations. The whole area was relaxed and this is something to remember. It’s not like a typical five star hotel, more of a home away from home with the addition of house keeping which was simply outstanding. The villa was cleaned too to bottom everyday. This was a lovely treat for any family who wants a break from the chores at home. The location was a little remote, but only 30 mins from some of the best beaches in the world. We loved our break here and would certainly return with another family to make it more fun for the kids- there are no clubs, but they do have paddle board which was fun. It was also my breakfast and the hotel kindly gave me a lovely cake to enjoy. A very nice touch. We would highly recommend for anyone who likes an adventure and home luxuries at the same time. Thanks to the team!

Ok stay

This is not a 4 start hotel, 3 at best. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere which is perfect to relax and unwind, however service and quality needs to be improved to keep up with expectations of a boutique hotel recommended by Condenast. The room is clean but basic, doesn’t provide any coffee/tea, which is now basic expectation for this kind of hotels. The food is a 1 star rating, this is canteen quality, not an hotel restaurant. Dinner is really cheap (only 25€), however I would like to pay more and have quality food than being cheap, processed and non tasting food. The breakfast need more organization and service. We find out only after being sited for 15 mins that they also offer some eggs/savory breakfast and was possible to order a proper coffee/ cappuccino. It will be better to put down a menu on the table or educate staff to share what is available when walking us to the table. The full sweet offering at the breakfast is processed food just served on a nice table, it’s not something they homemade/fresh (fruit being the only exception), there was no offer for non dairy milk available on the table. Amenities also need to improve, on hotels.com it states it has a spa, which we have not seen and they have not tell us it’s available. There are only 4 bikes (for more than 25 rooms), which are old and brakes doesn’t even work, quite dangerous to use. Tennis court was mentioned to be available at the reception, but we didn’t check them. Pool is nice as per picture.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was alright for what we needed it for. Nothing special. We didn’t realize just how in the middle of nowhere it would be. It’s quite remote and the country roads to get there are a bit tricky to navigate at night. We were exploring comporta for the two days that we were there but it’s about a 40 min drive so if you’re thinking of exploring comporta just keep that in mind. Also, there are no doors in the bathroom which we did not enjoy. Lastly, the room itself had some things that needed fixing. For example, the bottom of the door was completely falling off and the floor which is made up of some type of cork looked like it needed a refresh - it was stained on multiple areas. The breakfast included was also just ok - the eggs were cold and so was the bacon. We got to breakfast at 10 AM so I guess if you’re an early riser it might’ve been warm but they could also invest in better equipment to keep the food warm for the rest of us that are jet lagged and not up at the crack of dawn. Overall, it was just an ok experience.

Schönes Bungalowhotel in traumhafter Lage

Sehr schönes einsam gelegenes Hotel mit weitem Blick über die Landschaft. Schöner Pool. Die Zimmer sind groß und gut eingerichet (allerdings fehlt eine Tür zum Bad). Das Abendessen im Restaurant war hervorragend, wie auch das Frühstück. Schade, dass es keine Hotelbar gibt, so dass Getränkewünsche etwas umständlich über die Rezeption laufen müssen.

it’s a very pleasant hotel to stay at in a beautiful area. Great garden and hotel surroundings. The breakfast was great and the rooms were always very clean. The bathrooms need improvement as they are 3 star quality rather than 4. The service at the breakfast need improvement too. I saw guests chasing the staff to order eggs etc as they seemed too busy to take orders etc

Nous sommes très déçu de ce séjour que nous avions nos d’ailleurs écourté, lors de notre arrivée nous avons eu la surprise d’apprendre que le service de restauration était restreint et ceci sans nous donner de liste ou de recommandations de restaurant aux alentours, il faut savoir que l’hôtel est très isolé et nous avons essayé de prendre notre voiture pour trouver de quoi nous restaurer en vain surtout un lundi de Pâques !!! Donc nous sommes restés à l’hôtel où on nous a servi une soupe (industrielle) et un toast jambon fromage, pas de dessert !!!!! Nous sommes donc parti dès le lendemain matin au lieu du surlendemain, la personne qui nous a fait le Check out était très ennuyée, elle nous a donné une liste de restaurants aux alentours et était très étonnée que ses collègues ne l’avaient pas fait la veille!!! Et ils étaient quand même 3 derrière le comptoir juste pour nous 2!!! Bref on ne peut pas parler d’un service 4 étoiles !! Je tiens à préciser que c’est la 1ere fois que je donne un avis négatif sur un établissement et je voyage beaucoup Bref je ne recommande pas cet établissement Le quinta sa comporta qui est à 30 mn est vraiment d’un autre niveau

Alentejo at its best

Stylish hotel surrounded by stunning Alentejo landscape. Perfect spot to enjoy nature and the sun while laying down on a hammock and refreshing on the pool. Great views from the room too.
