I am a backpacker who booked the hotels of the similar budget for my travel weeks.
This hotel had the best facility/location/breakfast etc. It was a huge luxury for the backpacker. The interior was beautiful. The location was also quite cool. The breakfast worth its price.
However, the service was the Worst, not in my list of hotels for this backpacking, but in my entire hotel experience.
When I entered the hotel, the receptionists did not even look at me. Yes, they were busy doing their stuffs, but they did not say any kind words like 'sit down here' or 'wait a second'.
After finishing their stuffs they offered such a cold and automatic check in. Things were not so different when I passed the reception for several times while I stayed. I still wonder if it was that difficult to look at or smile a
t a customer.
On the night, there was another lady at the front. She was kind and nice. I went downstairs to ask for 'do not disturb' sign that my room lack of, since I Hate cleaning service. She told me she would tell cleaning lady not to enter my room, instead of giving me the sign.
However, when I went back hotel I was appaled. The room was... Cleaned. It was such an embarassment since I left my belongings including valuables and money scattered around the room, let alone the room was messy.
The hotel itself was good. However, because of the service quality, I felt as if I were sleeping in the house of some rich aunt whom I really don't know.
