낡은 목조 호텔
목조 건물에서 자는 경험은 신선하지만 정전이 잇었는데 오랜시간 고쳐지지 않앗고, 객실 창문앞에 위치한 지붕에는 새똥이 역겨울 정도로 가득했다. 반면에 위치나 건물외관 직원의 친절도는 만족 스럽다.

Sweet little stay.
Wonderful little hotel! We stayed in December 2023 in a triple room with a great view out onto the ship harbor. It was easy to get in touch with reception to check in and he was wonderful to let us know which restaurant in town was open for the evening. There’s a fridge in the desk that we didn’t find until the next morning.

Property manager(s) were incredibly kind and patient with us. The room we actually booked was under construction due to a recent water leakage, so the property manager provided us an upgraded stay for the same price we originally paid. They provided us the opportunity to dine in for breakfast and were so nice to offer help when we had lost our drone to the tree by the blue church 😭 we’ve accepted our loss, but really appreciate their offer - it really is the thought that counts ❤️

Das Essen sowie das Frühstück im Haupthaus Aldan waren gigantisch gut und der Style von dem Hotel und Haupthaus waren äußerst geschmackvoll.

Très petite chambre sympa mais pas extraordinaire
Très sympas comme cadre. Nous étions dans l’ancien bureau de poste du village c’est original. Le bar/resto qui fait office de réception est vraiment mignon et agréable. Par compte c’est très petit et extrêmement mal isolé (phonique et air). Simple vitrage et rideau simple autant dire que nous dormions avec la route. Pour ce qui était moins bien, le radiateur, il faut être plombier pour l’allumer!

The hotel was lovely but our room had a very strong mouldy smell coming from the bathroom, and the shower tiles appeared to have mould growing in spots. We could not keep the door to the bathroom open for any length of time because of this as it overpowered the whole room. We also did not feel comfortable to shower.

Quite cozy rooms next to the beautiful lake. We were confused in the Checkin process as it is at a separate hotel but the hotel is quite near like next building so all in all it was a good stay. We also saw northern lights from the place.

Surprise…surprise!!
Room was quite small to our surprise. Can hear everything/everyone passing by hallway as well as next door room. Was surprised when our room was opened by a couple with their son and to their surprise too, we were already in the room. Apparently whoever checked them in gave them our room key as well 😣. Next morning, check out staff was so apologetic and offered us coffee or tea in the house. Location was near the harbor and since it’s in a small village, you can easily walk everywhere.

Beautiful guesthouse in a beautiful town
We had an incredible stay in this very central guesthouse. The village is small but absolutely worth a visit, and you will be in the middle of it in this hotel. You can just walk around. Loved having our own private entrance.

There is some inconvenience with having to check in at another building, a walk up of multiple floors and a very tiny room. But we made the best of it and had a nice stay.

We booked an "very small double", it was in fact quite an ample space, much bigger than we expected which was great, especially with all our motorbike luggage. Somewhere in the building to make a coffee or tea would have been the cherry on the top. Otherwise a good place to stay

鍵を別の事務所へ取りに行かないと駄目。この事務所の場所が住所表示も無く、又バーの中に有り本当に不便。 部屋が狭すぎる、又暑くて換気も出来ず扉解放でも気温が下がらず苦労😥 湯沸かし器は有るが冷蔵庫は無し。 洗面台が小さく顔さえも洗えない。 トイレの押しボタンの性能が悪く水が殆ど毎回止まらない。

This is the second time I’m staying here. Same room too. Excellent service and a very nice single room made this trip very easy. They don’t include breakfast. I didn’t have the Buffay next store where they usually have it but down the street. I was not fond of the buffet before so I decided not to go for it this time. Centrally located near some restaurants which are good options. I love Seydurfjordur

Do not trust the photos!
Reminded me of uni days. Not in a good way. Room was smaller than my dorm and I felt misled by the photos. I went by the rating on hotels.com but lesson learnt as it seems loads of ppl were later surprised by what they got for what they paid. I even asked the reception if they could change the room but they told me to book a room that was 3x the price!! Check in experience was horrible - they make you come to another hotel. I would say though it was quite clean and the staff in general seemed friendly. It just felt that i was duped by the photos that presented a different image of the hotel. Whether thats the fault of the host or hotels.com, its the guest who ultimately pays the price (and quite a high one i must say)

Perfect setting overlooking the fjord. Friendly staff at check in and breakfast. Nice roomy shower. Pillows were very flat and the automatic light outside the door made it a little hard to sleep.

Misleading advertising on line. This property is stinky, smells moldy and it’s so run down it’s scary. We would have not stayed but it was late. It was so difficult to check in we had to ask locals how to get a hold of the owners to let us in…really!

Kalt var í herberginu og í húsinu er alveg brjálæðislega hljóðbært. En fleiri voru vankantarnir ekki. Rúmið var gott og allt mjög hreint og snyrtilegt. Vel var t.d. hugað að snjómokstri frá útidyrum.

Tolles Hotel. Frühstück im Partnerhotel. Liebevoll renoviertes altes Haus mit Sinn für schöne Details der Ausstattung. Leider etwas hellhörig. Jedoch ist das vergessen, wenn man sich die traumhafte Lage ansieht. Wir hatten ein Vierbettzimmer zur Fjordseite im Erdgeschoss. Sitzplätze vor der Tür mit traumhaftem Blick. Hier kann man verweilen. Ein Highlight auf unserer Rundreise.

This hotel has an amazing view of mountain and lake. It is walkable and the room was clean. The cons include: very tiny room (it is a hostel with private bathroom) and NO amenities! Yes, it has WiFi and free parking but these are standard in any hotel. Not even a tea bag or cup! It has a restaurant nearby if you are willing to pay $20/per person. I was the most expensive hotel even more than 4 star hotel in the capital. I do not recommend it.
