Very nice hotel

It was a fantastic experience to stay this 5 star hotel. Location is little bit remote from the downtown, but for someone who seeks for a calm & clean envirionment, this hotel is a right place to stay in.

Amazing hotel true luxury, amazing spa

I loved this hotel because i was looking for peace and solitude away from crowds and it was just that. Its location about 40mins by cab from the Bund in the middle of a park in a residential área. The staff don't really speak proper English but that's the case in many hotels in China. The concierge Anthony and Bruce were great a speak great English. No foreign TV like CNN, BBC etc

A Great Find in Shanghai

I stayed here with my girlfriend for a few days. It is in the heart of Shanghai Yangpu district, and it is next to a huge park with a lake. The view from our room on the 19th floor was simply amazing. It's hard to find this in a crowded metropolitan city like Shanghai. The room was upscale and squeaky clean, and the service was top-notch everywhere. My only complaint is that the AC was way too weak. It was the end of April and 80 degrees outside but we couldn't get the room temperature below 75 even with the AC on max.

Very nice hotel

Overall staying was decent. Very clean, new and the food on the 5th floor was also better than many other fancy hotels like shangri la pudong. Location is a bit far from downtown however the subway is nearby. Will definitely considering coming back to this hotel on my next visit to shanghai. Highly recommended.

on a business trip and our vendors picked us up

Very nice hotel in every way, parks around and the view was great . But cannot comment on transportation as on business and our vendors picked us up. But seemed like nothing else around. No restaurants of any sort.

Breathtaking views of shanghai and lake

Hotel opened October 2012.beautifully decorated .vcery comfortable rooms overlooking the lake ,park and town,great service and delicious food.

great value

We were coming from Houston to visit my friend in Dallas. We needed the hotel and found this hotel near to freeway and very close to downtown Dallas. We were suprised to find a descent room in reasonable price. The staff was friendly and helped me find my ways in the new city and even printed out maps. I will definetly stay again and suggested to choose this hotel for the person like me.

Completely AWFUL!

This hotel was horrible! I was staying here for one night while my home (which is relatively close) was undergoing some routine repairs. While checking in, the front desk staff (whom I also believe was the manager of the property) was incredibly rude and kept asking me if I was staying alone in the hotel room. I assured him that I was, and after 30 minutes of this conversation he let me into my room. This gentleman then followed me to my room to make sure I was the only person staying there! I couldn't believe it! Later in the evening, when a friend arrived to pick me up for dinner at a local restaurant, the Manager again appeared and told me that this person was not allowed into my room because I had only paid for one person. I assured him that my friend was NOT staying the night and that we were just going out to dinner. He stood in my doorway and insisted that I pay him an extra for an "extra-person fee" before my friend could enter the room. It was completely out of line and an invasion of my privacy. How did he know I had a visitor at all, unless he was watching?! The room itself was dirty and in complete disrepair. The television and the mini-fridge did not work, and the linens appeared soiled. The description also failed to mention that this hotel is next door to the county jail! Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I do not recommend that anyone stay in this hotel!
