"Stunning location and history with real vibe and period authenticity, great buffet breakfast, thoroughly enjoyed 3 night visit, probably requires a bit of TLC within a few structural areas, but no reflection on staff or housekeeping they were 5*.. access to walk within a wooded area is provided and very pleasant, but walk around the grounds i.e golf course is prohibited, bit of a shame as there are allocated paths, for golfers, but suppose understandable to stop residents having a general ramble with saftey consequnces in mind.... local walks are provided and recommend a morning stroll up to white nancy, there are footpaths on country roads...turn left on exit from hotel drive"
