"The hotel is superbly placed near the centre of the old town with its own walkway ( over the busy roads ) to the banks of the Rhine . We were very impressed by the grandeur of the interior and tge room was very spacious and comfortable . Unfortunately tge pool was extremely small ( more of a plunge pool ) not suited to providing me with my daily swimming exercise routine which required a length of 25m."

"Don't recommend. First you have to check in BEFORE you can park in the garage. Which means first I had look for street parking, then walk to the Hotel. It may not sound like that big a deal, but the Hotel is located next to a concert hall. So good luck finding street parking. Next they never cleaned room. House keeping literally skipped my room for the two nights I was there. The breakfast was also not very good. It was very small with little selection. It is in a nice location, next to the water and the rooftop bar was nice too. Otherwise, it is hard to recommend."

"Dear Hyatt Regency Köln Guest Relations Team, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction regarding an experience I encountered during my recent stay at your property in Cologne, Germany. Despite the restaurants on-site appearing to have available capacity on the evening in question, I was unfortunately unable to secure a dining reservation at either of the two hotel restaurants. As a result, I was compelled to leave the hotel premises and travel into the city centre in order to dine — an inconvenience that I had not anticipated, nor considered necessary given the facilities advertised as part of the guest experience. This situation had a significant impact on the overall enjoyment of my stay. As my evening was spent travelling to and from the city centre for dinner, I was subsequently unable to make use of the hotel's leisure facilities, including the swimming pool and spa areas, which I had very much looked forward to. I trust that this matter will be taken seriously and reviewed accordingly. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further and to understand what measures might be put in place to prevent similar inconveniences for future guests. "Clean and modern room with very nice and spacious shower and bath!"

"Das Hotel hat uns sehr positiv überrascht. Man bezahlt etwas mehr als anderswo, bekommt allerdings auch etwas dafür. Unser Zimmer mit Blick auf den Rhein hat uns sehr gut gefallen, es war sehr gut ausgestattet, sehr sauber und auch ruhig, wenn nicht gerade auf dem Flur von anderen Gästen die Türen laut geknallt werden. Im Hotel wurden gerade Zimmer in einem anderen Flur renoviert, das hat nicht gestört. (Vor dem Fahrstuhl lag diverses Baumaterial herum.) Das Schwimmbecken hat uns sehr gut gefallen, es war ausreichend groß und es gab genügend Liegen dort. Am Frühstücksbuffet hatten wir wirklich überhaupt nichts auszusetzen, es war sehr reichhaltig und sehr vielfältig. Beim Frühstück und auch sonst immer war das Personal immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder."
