"Spatious room overlooking the courtyard. Comfortable bed. The staff was very polite and welcoming. Breakfast is abundant and varied. We had dinner twice at the on-site restaurant, but were disappointed in tge food quality and taste. The pool is refreshing and a good size."
"Beautiful, luxurious hotel. Room was spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic, as was the fine dining restaurant on site. Highly recommend!"
"I cannot say enough about this resort! The aesthetics of this resort are stunning!
Upon our arrival to Cambodia we were offered a complimentary shuttle to the hotel and we we welcomed by the staff as soon as we arrived. They came out to greet us and welcome us “home”. The check in process was seamless as we were taken to the welcome area and given tea and a Cambodian sweet while we waited. Andy, our concierge got everything together and then personally walked us through the hotel to familiarize us with the layout and then escorted us up to our room which was stunning and very comfortable.
The resort offers several dining options, all of which are delightful and delicious. The buffet breakfast is complimentary and has so much to choose from for every liking. After several hours of touring Angkor Wat Temple Complex and the many other attractions in the area, we spent a lot of our down time at the poolside bar just enjoying the scenery.
It was also our anniversary and Andy was kind enough to make us a reservation for an Asparsa Dinner Show which was also amazing!
We even returned “home” one afternoon to a beautiful Anniversary message displayed on our bed of two swans with rose petals as well as a complimentary Tiramisu cake.
I truly cannot express my gratitude to the wonderful staff at this resort! It was an amazing experience we will never forget! "
"My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful place for 9 days. This was our 5th visit to Cambodia and it was definitely the best, due to this resort. The staff is excellent, the food is amazing, and the resort is the best you will find in Siem Reap (Take it from experience - I have stayed at 4 other resorts in this town). Here are three main reasons I feel this resort is superior to all the others:
1. The management is very active here. Most resorts you have no idea who is running anything or where to find them. At Waka Villa, Masao Okabe is the managing director of this resort and takes the time to sit and talk with you. He truly cares about your experience at this resort and what he can do to make it better. I've never experienced anything like this before - it was amazing!
2. All of the staff at this resort were fantastic! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. In particular, we had a great experience with Mr. Sum Seam. He knows Siem Reap very well and provided a great experience for us. Everything from transportation, restaurants, and visiting temples was scheduled by him.
3. The food and amenities were exceptional! Unlike other hotels and resorts, Everything is based around your schedule at Waka Villa. Instead of being rushed into a buffet-style breakfast during a certain time (ex. 6am-11am), at Waka Villa they serve breakfast all day long - you get to pick when you show up. The food is prepared by an excellent chef and is fantastic! "
"We had an amazing stay here. All of the staff were super helpful but I want to shout out one in particular by the name of Ponloek. He helped us check in late at night and was so welcoming, helpful and really made us comfortable from the moment we arrived. Super grateful we got to meet him and the rest of the wonderful staff here!"
"The room I originally booked they advised me during check in that it was full. I’m not sure if that was done on purpose. I asked for a refund of the difference and they told me they couldn’t and offered other services instead. It’s a bit hard to believe that a hotel has overbooked when everything was done online and the fact I couldn’t get a refund for the difference. I had a nice time here and the staff was really nice but I’m also not sure if I got scammed or not. The area of the hotel was not so great as it was far from any shops or restaurants. If I was to do this trip again I would have preferred to find a hotel closer to walking street where the restaurant and night market is as we went there every night after the temples to grab dinner.
