This is a wonderful historic property with large bedrooms, large and comfortable but firm beds and spacious common areas. The staff goes out of its way to be accommodating. I would definitely stay again when I am in Siena

We really enjoyed our stay at Il Chiostro del Carmine.
The hotel is definitely a little older, but that was part of the charm for us. Staying inside a former monastery gave the property so much character and made it feel completely different from a typical hotel.
The location was also excellent. It sits just outside the busiest part of Siena, but we were still within about a 10-minute walk of pretty much everything we wanted to see or do.
The atmosphere was peaceful, the setting was unique, and it fit Siena perfectly. If you prefer hotels with history and character over ultra-modern ones, this is a great place to stay.
A delight in every aspect—beautiful entrance and grounds, charming, helpful and friendly staff, grand staircase to our large room with high ceilings, and a full breakfast buffet both Italian and American style). Great location for the main sights, but a quiet neighborhood when they are not celebrating the Palio. Highly recommend choosing this place.

Wonderful staff.. helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a good location for the sites. The place is in need of a refurbishment.. very shabby..if completed this could be one of the best in Siena.
Parking available on site but only 5 spaces and very difficult to access if not in a tiny car. Breakfast was not the best. We were on the higher floor.. no lift.. 55 steps! Nice views.
This hotel is in a very lovely old abbey and it has all the old worlds charm and is situated in a very very convenient location for all the practical purposes
Can’t beat a 700 year old monastery with all the necessary modern amenities. The staff is polite and helpful, parking is close and the location convenient to the best and most important Siena attraction: the Duomo church.
staff were really friendly and helpful, checking was good
parking is a short walk away and we received a discount voucher from reception on departure. breakfast was great - and the room was clean and well equipped.
Hotel is about a 10 min walk to the main square.
Rooms were clean, breakfast that was provided was delicious and the staff was wonderful. Enjoyed having wine and charcuterie on their courtyard. I would recommend a stay while in Siena!
Lovely old monastery converted in the old part of the city with a great view of the surrounding landscape. Staff very helpful , good breakfast. Could use a sign outside to help find the place.
A lovely hotel just on the edge of Siena meaning it was a little more quieter than the centre - perfect for us as we were also driving. Hotel is lovely, rooms are spacious and comfortable, breakfast was good. Only thing to be aware of is they don't have a lift so if you stay here and have mobility challenges you need to ask for a room on the ground floor!
Beautiful place with a lovely courtyard. Close to the center of Siena, the cathedral and the piazza del campo. Nice clean room and helpful staff. A good breakfast buffet.
We had a great stay at this lodging. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful; the breakfast crew was very nice. Breakfast offerings were varied and fresh. Our room was very quiet and clean. The neighborhood is also quiet and it's a quick walk into the main hustle and bustle. Beautiful city to visit. We would stay here again.
I use the Rick Steve travel journals a lot and this hotel absolutely should have been on his list of recommended hotels! It’s a true gem! From the warm, helpful staff to the glorious monestary details, the hotel was a delight. Lovely rooms with the rare air conditioning, great bathrooms, delicious and extensive breakfast, and ideal location….it was above and beyond an absolute delight!
Comfortable room with basic amenities in a converted convent. Property had (limited) car parking close by. Location was within easy walking distance of city centre, which has a vast array of places to eat and drink. I would recommend Pizzaria Tufo in the Piazza del Campo.
This was an old monastery and has lots of nice old features. Very nice breakfast room with lots of choices.
The hotel is located very near to the Dumo and the main plaza.
