"We enjoyed our stay at the DeLand on the last weekend of August, 2026. We were here to attend a wedding in nearby DeLeon Springs. The gentleman at the front desk when we checked in (Tru was his name) was professional and cordial. The room we booked (single with a king bed) was small, but very clean and comfortable. This is an old style hotel with a lot of charm. It did take a while for hot water to travel up to our second floor room and I wasn't able to find any network stations on the television, but there was more than adequate room for our clothes (closet and chest of drawers). I would suggest that at least one box of tissues/Kleenex be provided in the room. We especially liked the availability of coffee in the morning (across from the front desk), the front sitting porch, and the classic bar area. We didn't have the chance to dine in the restaurant, but I heard positive reactions to the food and service. I would definitely recommend staying at the DeLand and enjoy the walk back to an earlier time."

"The room was clean, and yes there are folks living there. The people who do live there are friendly and will look out for folks staying there. The pool is nice and the motel is right across the street from the Park. It isnt the Ritz by any means, but it served our needs and everything was clean. We will be back."
