This is a sweet alpine hotel set atop the hill of Sinaia. The rooms are large, and it is worth the extra to get a room with a balcony to sit outside beneath the pine forest; and some rooms have a view of the valley. Modern bathrooms and showers, coffee and kettle. Overall fairly quiet on a summer weeknight. Staff is very helpful, allowing me to check in as I arrived early, and the free breakfast was very good with traditional cheeses, meats, eggs, veggies. croissants and pastries. Expect to do a little walking (5-7 mins) to a nearby bus stop if you do not have a car, but Castle Peles is quite close and walkable. Quite happy with my stay at Ioana Hotel and would recommend!

This property has a great location, walking distance to the castle and the monastery. There are great walking paths all around that area making this a nice stop. The rooms are well sized and well maintained all the slightly outdated. The bed is very comfortable, and the breakfast is serviceable. Your staff is friendly and the price was fantastic. Great value for what we paid. I would highly recommend this for a stop over while visiting the Romanian mountain region, especially focusing on castle and historical monument visits.

This a newer hotel and everything is in top condition. The architecture and interior design are pleasing. The position offers nature and tranquility, but they are a 2 km steep ascent from the city center. Fortunately there is on-site parking for several cars and the hotel has an excellent restaurant with a garden.
