“We stayed here for a night on a trip down south, and we were blown away with how nice the room and property were. The owners were extremely generous and provided us with smores to cook with our kids in the fireplace in the covered porch area. Couldn't recommend this place enough ”

“We had a very comfortable stay at Franklin Terrace bed and breakfast! Paul is the sweetest person and he takes best care of his customers. It is centrally located and easy walk to Main Street. It’s nice to know that it’s recognized as national historic place. The structure is originally erected in 1887!! If there’s something to complain, the bed is too soft for our convenience and one of the staff Kelly can be little bit more friendly.”

There are lots of places to eat and entertainment in the surrounding area. We had a kitchenette and it had everything we needed had we decided to cook and eat in the room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. ”

“Very poorly maintained”

“The pillows smelled of body odor. Very old and not cleaned. Spidars webs everywhere. Hair in the sink and they lost water upgraded to a cottage that was old not updated but very disappointing. ”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Highlander Mountain House .. with a few caveats. First the good: The staff were friendly and helpful, the location is ideal - right in the heart of downtown easily walkable to many shops and restaurants. The room was attractive with soft linens and quality toiletries. However, the room was very small, and as such it didn't feel like the owners utilized the space efficiently. “The hotel was 5 star all the way. The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. The manager was visible and offered dining, excursion and shopping suggestions. All excellent recommendations. Our suite was large yet had a cozy feel. Everything was immaculate. The breakfast was excellent from fresh berry compote to specialty pastries to imported coffee. A beverage bar was available 24/7. Breakfast out in the courtyard was quiet and lovely. The location was perfect for walking around town....

“I never made it to breakfast until the last day & there were only remnants. I saw chocolate hostess cakes & some of what was left of cereal in the containers. Beds were comfortable, staff was nice but our bathroom light over mirror flickered or never worked & the test/reset buttons never kicked in for the hairdryer to work. This was much more affordable than staying up the mountain in Franklin or Highlands, but the light/hairdryer made it hard to get ready. No towel replacement on our 2nd night....
