The reception staff did not speak English well, odd for a hotel next to the airport, but they tried to be helpful. The shower was enclosed; a big plus and not usual in this country. The interior decoration of the hotel roốm and corridor was old-fashioned. The outside appearance ò the hotel looks Soviet in style. More hooks in the bathroom would be helpful. The restaurant was fine for dinner and breakfast.

It is great that hotel has free airport shuttle 24/7. Room was clean. Customer service could be better at night with tired customer. Breakfast restaurant and food variety were pretty well. If I ever again need to stay a night in Sofia I will choose Ibis again.

The hotel is comparable to a Motel 6 in North America with the addition of an excellent breakfast, airport pickup service, and helpful staff who speak adequate (for Bulgaria) English. This is also the closest hotel to the Sofia Airport. I booked there twice. I would recommend for business travel, due to its proximity to the airport and rental car agencies. Adequate three-year hotel.

My last night in Sofia and I wanted to stick close to the airport. The ibis is usually a good choice and so it was here. The room was large enough and comfortable. The bed was great. Temperature great. The bathroom was very good and I enjoyed the sparkling water dispenser in the hall. Breakfast was outstanding despite no maple syrup.

The hotel is close to Sofia Airport and provides a shuttle every 20 minutes. If you have an early-morning flight from Sofia, this is the hotel. The rooms are basic, with no complimentary water bottles or tea. But I was given a breakfast bag for my 7 am flight. You can have dinner on the property, order a cappuccino or other drinks, and pay in cash or with any international credit card.

The room was clean, but small, there was a lot of noise from the hallway, that did not allow me to get a good rest. I had an early morning flight and the shuttle was very convenient. The breakfast was to go and consisted of a nice sandwich and an apple. Overall it was a convenient stay before an early morning flight.

We stayed here for one night prior to flying out in room 422. Pros: the shuttle was prompt, the hot water machine on our floor worked well, and the check-in/restaurant area looks modern. Cons: very unpleasant front desk staff (the Aug 11 afternoon check-in guy was very bad at his job), long hairs on the floor and sheets, a dirty kettle that someone had tried to cook in that was filled with water and debris (we tried to have it swapped out but the front desk guy told us no - lol, and to take the filthy one back to our room...extra funny when we saw the sign posted in our hallway - see attached picture), the TV was stuck in factory mode and only flashed a variety of colours...no amount of power-cycling or button pushing would change it, there was a smear of something brown across the curtain, everything was covered with a layer of dust, the room comes with two glasses and the dirty kettle - no other amenities other than the gel in the washroom that is your hand, body, and hair wash combo, the bed was very creaky, the AC worked half the time and would randomly shut off, and the water was a wild surprise of random changing temperatures. The breakfast was alright...but you are expected to clear your own dishes, which very few people actually did so it was quite messy in there.
